Remember when Obama told the IRS to stop targeting Tea Party groups?
Yeah, that was just another lie.
Just months after the IRS admitted it subjected conservative groups applying for tax-exempt status to extra scrutine, New Jersey tea parties are asking if they have been targeted.
Leaders of the Bayshore Tea Party Group, East Jersey Tea Party and West Jersey Teay Party claim they waited for months, years in some cases, for the IRS to approve their applications for 501c3, or charitable organization, status, and 501c4, for civic leagues, non-profit status.
The Bayshore Tea Party Group sent in their application in April 2011. They're still waiting, and the IRS isn't returning their calls.
17 months after the West Jersey Tea Party applied to the IRS they received a request for "more information." It ran to 90 pages, with multiple topics and sub-topics ad nauseum.
But Obama Organizing For America got approved in 17 minutes.
It's all part of a nationwide trend, with IRS storm troopers actively harassing any group remotely associated with Tea Party Patriots.
While President Obama and other liberals have referred to the situation as a "phony scandal," conservative organizations still are targets, said Cleta Mitchell, a Washington, D.C., lawyer representing the Tea Party Patriots and several other conservative groups.
"This is tantamount to an audit. This is the continuation of the same thing they've been doing for four years. They have not stopped," she said Thursday. "Tea Party Patriots has responded to all of the requests of the IRS to date, but that has gotten us nowhere. They just keep asking more questions. We are now looking at potential legal remedies, but that's not easy. Congress has made it quite difficult to sue the IRS."
Obama likes it that way. He's drunk on power. And given his druthers he'll crush us like a bug.
"When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear
the government, there is tyranny."
— Thomas Jefferson
We're way past the tyranny stage. Our government is evil. So why are we even bothering to ask its permission to criticize it? It is our God-given Right to peaceably assemble and speak our minds. No Mohammedan Marxist is going to tell me I can't call out his mendacity. Barack Obama is the enemy of a free people, and we should treat him as such.
