I caught the Get Smart movie on TV this week. I think it captured the flavor of the original series and was uproariously funny. Get Smart was one of my favorite shows and like every teenage boy back then I was in love with Barbara Feldon aka Agent 99. She was smart, funny, and sexy; what's not to like?
In the movie Anne Hathaway perfectly captures the essence of Agent 99. I couldn't say the same for Steve Carell as Maxwell Smart. Don Adams owns that role; Carell didn't have the snarky delivery and great facial expressions that gave Max his comedic edge. Carell "missed it by that much".
But as in the original series, Agent 99 saved the day (and the Free World).
Not to mention that she also gives me an excuse for some
Rule 5 action!

Linked up by Donald Douglas (thanks, man!) as he keeps it in the TV vein by featuring the lovely Mary Louise Parker from Weeds on Showtime.
