Technorati is indexing me again! They had to make a code change to fix the problem with my blog getting stuck in their queue. Kudos to Eric M. and the guys at GetSatisfaction.com where they have "community powered support for Technorati".
Well, they're "sorta, kinda" indexing me anyway. It's on a 24 hour tape delay or something. So I never get picked up by Memeorandum because they pull from Technorati and Technorati has stuff I posted yesterday listed as my latest blog entry. And that's old news to Memeorandum.
Wankers.

Recent headlines from my Posterous Blog:
New Jersey Senate President Disk Codey says "yes". He wants the state and/or Federal government to force nursing homes to lower their thermostats. Current law (I can't believe there is a law for this) says the temperature can be at most 81 degrees. Codey thinks that number should be lower.
In 2005, while he was Acting Governor, Codey forced the administration of Greystone Psychiatric Hospital to install new air conditioning systems in a building that was slated for demolition later that year. He mobilized state resources (aka our tax dollars) and in two weeks the entire complex was air conditioned. And, several months later, the patients were moved, and the building was torn down.
Codey's demands are just more examples of cradle-to-grave nanny-statism.
I'm not denying that having air conditioning is a good thing. And, I'm not
saying that we shouldn't be concerned with the quality of life experienced
by nursing home and mental patients. But, is this really an issue that needs
government mandates? How about folks who don't reside in nursing homes?
Lots of them do not have air conditioning in their homes or apartments.
Somehow they manage to get through the summer just fine. Will Senator
Codey now propose that state government mandate the purchase of an air
conditioner for every home without one?
