The people who want you to be all warm and fuzzy with the idea of same-sex marriage have bigger plans for the sexualization of our society. In San Francisco there is apparently a long-standing tradition of public fellatio among gay men. Blech.
The few decent folks left in that city have objected, in effect saying "get a room". Sage advice for sure.
Demetri and Andy gave a recap of how 2-3 complaints filed against individual cops with the Office of Civilian Complaints, created controversy two months before the Dore Alley Fair, leading to a crackdown on public sex this year. When Demetri asked if there was a different vibe because of the crackdown, I spoke up and set there was, and that we lost public sex space - the alley next to the Powerhouse - and that I want to reclaim the right to engage in public fellatio, or watch it unimpeded by sex monitors.
I must have missed that "right to engage in public fellatio" in the voluminous works of Thomas Jefferson. Maybe some gay rights activist can send me the citation?
So, what is their response? Why get a room when you can put up a tent:
I said a tent, that would be clearly marked for oral sex and alcohol-free, should be considered, as a safe space for consenting adults to engage in fellatio on a public street.
Yes folks, gay people are just like everybody else! I think I'll propose the idea of a "public sex tent" for our next neighborhood block party. Public blowjobs are fun for the whole family!
They feel bad that kids might see their debauchery, and they want to keep the children away, but since it's a public street that's not in the cards. Oh well, their "right" to public fellatio supercedes any vestiges of decency.
Andy told of how the highest number of complaints are not about sex or nudity, but about kids and dogs. The reasons for the complaints are varied, and FSE, at the entry gates, strongly encourages people with children and pets to think twice about entering. Still, given that the fairs are on public streets, there will never be a way to keep pets and kids out.
Come on in kids, you might learn something about tolerance! Kevin Jennings would be proud.
Advocates for same-sex marriage tell us that gay people are just like the
rest of us; they want to express their love and raise a family.
<sarcasm>
Because every family I know regularly attends events featuring public
fellatio;
how about you?</sarcasm>
Other folks have come to a similar conclusion.
For years homosexual activists have insisted that homosexuality is not about sex but rather it is about love. I contend that homosexuality is only about behavior -- sexual behavior. From singer Adam Lambert's recent vulgar simulation of homosexual debauchery during the American Music Awards to public sex at homosexual pride events, and much more, homosexuality is about aberrant sexual expression.
Too many in America have bought the lie that homosexuality is normal and healthy. Public sex during a community fair is not normal and it is not healthy. It is perverted and illegal. And those who have allowed it to take place, and who defend it, only serve to prove that homosexuality is all about the love of unnatural sexual behavior.
Same-sex marriage is the camel's nose unter the tent. If it passes in New Jersey how long will it be before its champions demand the "right" of public fellatio at events like the annual Caldwell Street Fair? When we object, we'll probably be marginalized as "intolerant".
