Technorati is indexing me again! They had to make a code change to fix the problem with my blog getting stuck in their queue. Kudos to Eric M. and the guys at GetSatisfaction.com where they have "community powered support for Technorati".
Well, they're "sorta, kinda" indexing me anyway. It's on a 24 hour tape delay or something. So I never get picked up by Memeorandum because they pull from Technorati and Technorati has stuff I posted yesterday listed as my latest blog entry. And that's old news to Memeorandum.
Wankers.

Recent headlines from my Posterous Blog:
"The Constitution is not a suicide pact." Except when we allow it to be. (And herein I mean the collective "we", embodied in the persona of Barack Obama and his administration.) Nothing makes this clearer than an article written by Debra Burlingame for The Wall Street Journal today — Revenge of the 'Shoe Bomber'.
Remember Richard Reid? He tried to blow up American Airlines Flight 63 from Paris to Miami with 197 passengers and crew on board by igniting explosives hidden in his shoe. Fortunately he didn't succeed. He is now serving a life sentence at the Federal "supermax" prison in Florence, Colorado. He is a bonafide ememy of the United States, engaged in making war upon our nation and citizens. Yet, he is afforded all the rights and privileges of a common purse snatcher.
Reid petitioned the courts to invalidate the Special Administrative Measures (SAMs) imposed as a condition of his detention. SAMs are security directives, renewable yearly, issued by the attorney general when "there is a substantial risk that a prisoner's communications, correspondence or contacts with persons could result in death or serious bodily injury" to others. He contends that the SAMs imposed at the Supermax prison infringe on his First Amendment rights to free exercise of religion. He wants to be able to pray with other Muslim prisoners of his own choosing.
The Obama Administration acceded to his request. His "rights" are more important than our safety.
Mr. Obama likes to observe that "no one has escaped from supermax," but if Reid is moved from ADX Florence, he will be the first convicted terrorist to use the First Amendment to sue his way out.
He won't be the last. Especially if President Obama makes good on his promise to close the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay. Once those murderous jihadi scum reach our shores the Lynne Stewart wing of the American Bar Association will be lined up to file legal briefs on their behalf. Guys like Frank Askin are all too ready to utilize every Constitutional protection and freedom we enjoy to win the release of enemy combatants who fully intend to destroy our nation and our way of life.
Seven men were arrested this week in rural South Carolina for plotting violent jihad against the United States. One of them wrote "I will kill you" on his Facebook page. If they had been caught pulling this crap in the 1940s (during WW II) they would have been marched out to the nearest army barracks, lined up against a wall, and shot. (It happened in 1942, right here in New Jersey. Eight German saboteurs came ashore but were caught by local police and the FBI before they could carry out their missions. A military tribunal sentenced them to death and the U.S. Supreme Court sanctioned the executions.)
But now we've gone soft. We fetishize the "rights" of the monsters who are determined to rape our women and kill our children while they sleep. Why? There is no doubt, reasonable or otherwise, that Richard Reid intended to commit an act of war. Why is he still breathing, let alone being given the oppportunity to exercise Constitutional rights? In my mind all that he's entitled to is a board to sleep on, a hole to piss in, and 3 ham sandwiches a day to eat until a firing squad sends him on a one-way ride to meet Allah.
Ditto for the South Carolina 7. They are a prime example of why terrorism
is not merely a law enforcement problem. They are at war with us. We should
act like we are at war with them. In war we kill our enemies before they can
kill us first. What about that principle doesn't Barack Obama understand?
