Technorati is indexing me again! They had to make a code change to fix the problem with my blog getting stuck in their queue. Kudos to Eric M. and the guys at GetSatisfaction.com where they have "community powered support for Technorati".
Well, they're "sorta, kinda" indexing me anyway. It's on a 24 hour tape delay or something. So I never get picked up by Memeorandum because they pull from Technorati and Technorati has stuff I posted yesterday listed as my latest blog entry. And that's old news to Memeorandum.
Wankers.

Recent headlines from my Posterous Blog:
I have always been a global warming skeptic. Al Gore and his merry band of sycophants claim to have it all figured out, but their predictions don't ever seem to match up with reality. "Worst hurricane season evar!" Uh, nevermind. "Manhattan under water!" Only when a pipe bursts.
The IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) is poised to meet in Copenhagen to debate "Kyoto II" — dramatic strictures on CO2 emissions worldwide. And of course wealth redistribution to help "developing nations" cope with the purported effects of climate change.
President Obama has jumped the gun and promised that we'll comply with any and all IPCC diktats. There's only one small problem. The IPCC house of cards, built on quicksand, has come crashing down. I'll be so bold as to opine that they made the whole thing up.
The raw data is gone. They threw it away. Nobody can check their work, or recreate their results. All that's left are the "revised figures", massaged by climate scientists to take into account "variables" they claim affected the data gathering process. In this case "variables" is econut-speak for "fudge the numbers to prove our point". See it's like this, the raw data seemed to show a drop in temperature readings. That wouldn't fly with their dire predictions, so they conspired to "hide the decline!" by using "Mike's Nature trick" and some artificial coefficients in their computer models.
Clever, eh? And it should have gone unknown by us philistines were it not for the exposure of those inconvenient emails from the University of East Anglia's Climate Research Unit (CRU), the world's "leading authority" on climate change. The same dudes who inconveniently "lost" the raw data by the way.
Everything (and I mean everything) the IPCC does is driven by data from the CRU. All their predictions. All their dire warnings. Every one of their policy prescriptions including Cap & Trade and limits on greenhouse gas emissions.
But, what about other climate researchers? Glad you asked! The Kiwis cooked their data too! Fortunately they kept their raw numbers, and an independent analysis shows no alarming trend; global temperatures seem statistically constant as far back as the 1850's. (Naturally the temps vary from year to year but the trend is a flat line). No "hockey stick".
Ah yes, the hockey stick. Michael Mann and his infamous graph showing the huge spike in global temperature. Totally reliant on the fudged numbers from CRU and NZ. Penn State University has opened an investigation into Professor Mann's research. He works there, spewing "research" paper after research paper touting his alarmism and predicting the End Of Civilization and other such rot. His bosses have told him to put a sock in it until they've had a chance to fully review his results. Uh, oh.
Can we call it "Mann-made" global warming yet?
AGW, climate science, and the entire notion of imposing daunting restrictions on CO2 emissions are (if you'll excuse the expression) under a giant cloud. Yet on December 7th representatives from 192 nations will descend on Copenhagen to ratify a treaty calling for massive changes to international industrial policy to counter what may very well be a non-existent problem. This is poor timing given the explosive nature of the Climategate debacle. Postpone the Copenhagen conference for a year or 2. Give us enough time to examine the underlying science in the open, without "tricks" or impenetrable computer code.
Fat chance. All along the international cognescenti have pushed the global warming fraud on the pretext of saving the planet. The reality is they're hot on the pursuit of power. Power over our economies, our liberties, and our very lives. That is the real "inconvenient truth" which has come out of Climategate. Copenhagen was to usher in a new era of world government, run by true believers every bit as totalitarian as history's worst despots.
The unknown person who leaked those CRU emails actually did save the planet
and everyone on it. He saved us from a dystopian future of global poverty
begat of ruinous regulation promulgated in subservience to the ecowarrior
cabal.
