Technorati is indexing me again! They had to make a code change to fix the problem with my blog getting stuck in their queue. Kudos to Eric M. and the guys at GetSatisfaction.com where they have "community powered support for Technorati".
Well, they're "sorta, kinda" indexing me anyway. It's on a 24 hour tape delay or something. So I never get picked up by Memeorandum because they pull from Technorati and Technorati has stuff I posted yesterday listed as my latest blog entry. And that's old news to Memeorandum.
Wankers.

Recent headlines from my Posterous Blog:
Last year I reacted with trepidation to the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling granting Habeas Corpus rights to the prisoners at Guantanamo Bay. At the time I wrote:
Armed with this ruling the Lynne Stewart wing of our criminal defense bar will be emboldened to push for even more detainee rights. I can see them petitioning for suppression of a terrorist's statements because he was not properly Mirandized by a Marine during the heat of battle.
Commenters disagreed with me. I remember taking flack for believing that our government would ever require battlefield Miranda warnings.
Welcome to the Barack Obama hippy-dippy kumbaya era. His Justice Department now requires that captured enemy combatants must be given a proper recitation of their Miranda rights. (h/t my FB bud George and Memeorandum)
The move is reportedly creating chaos in the field among the CIA, FBI and military personnel, according to Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Mich. The soldiers especially, he says, are frustrated that giving high value detainees "Miranda rights -- the right to remain silent, the right to an attorney -- is impeding their ability to pursue intelligence on the battlefield."
White House press secretary Robert Gibbs was unable to confirm the policy but acknowledged that "it wouldn't be a surprise to find out that it was happening."
Maybe it wouldn't be a "surprise" to him but I sure am blown away.
Can you just imagine if this had been our policy during WWII?
Dick Cheney said that Barack Obama is making America less safe. Yup.
Sen. Jim Inhofe said of Obama, "I just don't know whose side he's on."
I'm starting to believe that it's "not ours".
