Technorati is indexing me again! They had to make a code change to fix the problem with my blog getting stuck in their queue. Kudos to Eric M. and the guys at GetSatisfaction.com where they have "community powered support for Technorati".
Well, they're "sorta, kinda" indexing me anyway. It's on a 24 hour tape delay or something. So I never get picked up by Memeorandum because they pull from Technorati and Technorati has stuff I posted yesterday listed as my latest blog entry. And that's old news to Memeorandum.
Wankers.

Recent headlines from my Posterous Blog:
It's not exactly a replacement for Windows on the World but there is once again
a restaurant atop 1 World Trade Center. Nestled in between the construction
cranes is a
Subway sandwich shop, housed in a movable pod which rises on
hydraulic legs as the new Freedom Tower takes shape at Ground Zero.
And the reason it's there is really quite simple. Time. A trip to street level and back to pick up a sandwich for lunch can take up to 60 minutes on the hoist which ferries men and supplies to the top. As the building keeps getting taller that trip takes longer and longer.
So DCM Erectors solicited bids for a restaurant that could operate in an unfinished skyscraper. A key criteria was good food that required minimal packaging (to cut down on waste). Subway fit the bill.
The "dining pod" is one of 4 attached to the 2 construction cranes (the others house offices, a locker room, and bathrooms). Each pod is comprised of 9 shipping containers bolted together and stacked 3 levels tall. Subway is on the top level, and it is configured just like any other shop in the chain. One level down is a heated and air conditioned lounge with tables and chairs.
As the building goes up, the pods go with it. By the time they reach the 105th floor zenith the view should be pretty nice.
How cool is that?
