Gee, I'll bet nobody saw this coming. As Obamacare increases health insurance costs across the board, businesses who foot the bill for their employees' health insurance are preparing to pass those costs on to their customers.
U.S. finance chiefs say they are mostly ready to deal with widespread health reform, but remain concerned about the impact it will have on labor costs.
Many are prepared to shift that burden onto employees and customers.
When asked about the potential negative impacts health-care reform may have on the economy, 67% of CFOs named costs stemming from wide-scale health-care changes as a "significant concern," with most fearing a potential surge in labor costs.
To help mitigate those higher expenses, executives say they are prepared to shift costs to employees and cut spending in other areas of their business. A large chunk are also warning that the burden may be shifted onto consumers through higher prices for products and services.
So, after we're done paying the new higher rates for our own health insurance, and after we're taxed to subsidize health insurance for legions of deadbeat Obama voters, we're also gonna get hosed at the checkout stand when the price of pretty much everything we buy goes up as well.
It's a triple-whammy ripple effect that'll squeeze our wallets until we bleed.
Honestly, if I wanted to destroy the U.S. economy I'd be hard-pressed to come
with something more devastating than Obamacare to do it.
