Obama will compromise national security if Ben Nelson doesn't vote for ObamaCare

Barry broke out the brass knuckles yesterday in an attempt to rescue ObamaCare. He twisted arms to get Joe Lieberman back on board, but Nebraska Senator Ben Nelson is still a hold-out. Senator Nelson is pro-life and he won't vote for a healthcare bill which includes federal funding for abortion.

So Barry is threatening to close Offutt Air Force Base if Nelson doesn't fall in line. Offutt employs 10,000 people in Southeastern Nebraska.

It's the Chicago way! (And I guess those folks won't end up on any of his "jobs created or saved" lists either!)

There's only one problem. Offutt isn't some municipal patronage mill; it's the headquarters of STRATCOM — The United States Strategic Command. STRATCOM is the epicenter of our national security. Closing it would deal a body blow to our ability to respond to an attack on America.

As president, Barry is ostensibly the Commander in Chief of our armed forces. And it's his sworn duty to protect America from her enemies. Yet he's willing to sacrifice the national security of our country for partisan political advantage? What kind of CinC does stuff like that?

Hillary was right. Barry is in so far over his head he's become a danger to the people who elected him. Vladmir Putin and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad must be cackling with glee; Russia's nuclear pre-eminence will be sealed, and any counter to Iran's bomb won't come from us if Offutt falls victim to President Training Pants' latest temper tantrum.

I've said it before, and I'll undoubtedly say it again: The country is in the very best of hands.
