Technorati is indexing me again! They had to make a code change to fix the problem with my blog getting stuck in their queue. Kudos to Eric M. and the guys at GetSatisfaction.com where they have "community powered support for Technorati".
Well, they're "sorta, kinda" indexing me anyway. It's on a 24 hour tape delay or something. So I never get picked up by Memeorandum because they pull from Technorati and Technorati has stuff I posted yesterday listed as my latest blog entry. And that's old news to Memeorandum.
Wankers.

Recent headlines from my Posterous Blog:
Later this month President Obama will take the unprecedented step of presiding over a meeting of the United Nations Security Council.
No American president has ever attempted to acquire the image of King of the Universe by officiating at a meeting of the UN's highest body. But Obama apparently believes that being flanked by council-member heads of state like Col. Moammar Qaddafi — who is expected to be seated five seats to Obama's right — will cast a sufficiently blinding spell on the American taxpayer that the perilous state of the nation's economy, the health-care fiasco, and a summer of "post-racial" scapegoating will pale by comparison.
I presume he'll make a pitch for world peace. And unilateral nuclear disarmament!
Unfortunately, however, the move represents one of the most dangerous diplomatic ploys this country has ever seen. The president didn't just decide to chair a rare council summit; he also set the September 24 agenda — as is the prerogative of the state holding the gavel for the month. His choice, in the words of American UN Ambassador Susan Rice, speaking on September 2 at her first press briefing since the United States assumed the council presidency, is this: "The session will be focused on nuclear nonproliferation and nuclear disarmament broadly, and not on any specific countries."
Here he goes with the sweeping generalities again. Obama isn't interested in nailing down specific issues related to nuclear nonproliferation; he doesn't want to make waves with Iran or North Korea or the loonier side of Pakistan. He's poised to deliver another campaign address, similar to the speech he gave in Berlin last year.
This time he's running for President of Earth.
Since he dares not ruffle the feathers of any Arab or Muslim states, the issue of Iran's nuclear ambitions is now off the table. It won't be discussed at all by the purported Leader of the Free World. He'll restrict his remarks to non-specific platitudes enjoining everyone to work together towards the goal of a nuclear-free world.
His group-hug, sing Kumbaya brand of diplomacy is breathtaking in its naivete. This entire exercise denies reality to foster the adulation of Obama the man over respect for American ideals, interests, and sovereignty. He is tossing aside a golden opportunity to forcefully tackle the issue of the Iranian regime's intransigence at the precise time that all the key decision makers will be present.
Why? Because his ego coupled with his lack of experience in international affairs leads him to seek style over substance. He really does believe in the power of his personality. In the same way he feels his address to the nation's schoolchildren will inspire each and every one of them to "work hard and stay in school" he's absolutely certain that the force of his rhetoric will be sufficient to soften the hearts of murderous dictators.
Since when is "speak softly and throw away your big stick" a winning strategy?
