Technorati is indexing me again! They had to make a code change to fix the problem with my blog getting stuck in their queue. Kudos to Eric M. and the guys at GetSatisfaction.com where they have "community powered support for Technorati".
Well, they're "sorta, kinda" indexing me anyway. It's on a 24 hour tape delay or something. So I never get picked up by Memeorandum because they pull from Technorati and Technorati has stuff I posted yesterday listed as my latest blog entry. And that's old news to Memeorandum.
Wankers.

Recent headlines from my Posterous Blog:
At 1:00 PM on Tuesday September 8, 2009 Big Brother President
Obama will make an unprecedented address to our nation's school children. For
many of them it will be their first day back in the classroom and Comrade
Obama wants to set the tone for the upcoming school year.
The creepiness meter is dinging.
The President will deliver a speech about the importance of persisting and succeeding in school on Sept. 8, the first day of school for many children across America. The Department of Education is encouraging educators, students and parents to use this opportunity to help students get focused and begin the school year strong. The speech will be broadcast live on www.whitehouse.gov at 1 p.m. EDT. The Department of Education has also asked a group of U.S. Department of Education Teaching Ambassador Fellows to develop some suggested classroom activities around the speech to help engage students and stimulate discussion on the importance of education in their lives. The suggested classroom activities will be available on www.ed.gov.
It's right out of the authoritarian dictator's handbook. Indoctrinate the children into the leader's cult of personality. All hail President Obama!
Reading the suggested classroom activities leaves no doubt as to his agenda.
Before the speech teachers should ask the students questions about the president. One example, "Why do you think he wants to speak to you?? Get the implication, he's speaking directly to you, directly to each child. President Obama has an important message! Too important for him to rely on your teacher to read it to you. He has to deliver it personally!
During the speech students should write down key ideas and think about "What is the President trying to tell me?" and "What is the President asking me to do?" There's that personal connection again. The One is speaking directly to each child and they shall obey. (Can I cue the creepy music, 'cause this really calls for some creepy music.)
He's asking them to do stuff. No doubt he'll be prepping them to be census takers.
And here's the best part. After the speech, there are exercises for the students to complete. Among them is this:
Write letters to themselves about what they can do to help the president. These would be collected and redistributed at an appropriate later date by the teacher to make students accountable to their goals.
Note the odd phrasing — help the president. Ask not what you can do for your country, ask what you can do for your president! They will be held accountable by their Maximum Leader.
I can only think of one proper response.
Hey Obama, leave them kids alone.
