62% of Americans: country headed in wrong direction

The Obama approval meter is spiking downward.

Thirty-two percent (32%) of likely voters believe the United States is heading in the right direction, according to the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey.

Sixty-two percent (62%) of voters say the country is moving down the wrong track.

Breaking down the numbers further Allahpundit reports:

Net approval: Down 15 points since June. Net who say they'd vote to reelect The One rather than vote for someone else: A measly +3, down 13 points. Number who say they're confident the stimulus will turn the economy around: 39 percent, also down 13 points. And the number who say the country's "seriously off on the wrong track": 55 percent, up 13 points.

The White House is desperate to ram their trillion dollar health care reform plan through Congress before the wheels fall off the Obamunism Express. A few more months of his ineffective "leadership" will sink our economy further and may even sour some of his hard-core Obamabots on his policies. So, nobody is going to read the plan first; like the Stimulus, getting something in place is the important thing because it's crucial to satiating Barry's narcissism and keeping his sycophants happy.

It's not about what's best for America; it's about consolidating their power as quickly and robustly as possible.
