WyBlog, the best thing about New Jersey since the invention of the 24 hour diner.

Technorati is indexing me again! They had to make a code change to fix the problem with my blog getting stuck in their queue. Kudos to Eric M. and the guys at GetSatisfaction.com where they have "community powered support for Technorati".
Well, they're "sorta, kinda" indexing me anyway. It's on a 24 hour tape delay or something. So I never get picked up by Memeorandum because they pull from Technorati and Technorati has stuff I posted yesterday listed as my latest blog entry. And that's old news to Memeorandum.

A few weeks back I wrote The Republican Party is dysfunctional and embarrassing. I didn't think they'd prove me right so soon. In a spectacular example of tone-deaf bludgeoning of their conservative base the NRSC (National Republican Senatorial Committee) came out last week and endorsed Florida governor Charlie Crist in the Sunshine State's GOP senatorial primary.
Crist's challenger, Marco Rubio, is a rock-solid conservative and the kind of candidate the national GOP should be busting its humps to help. Instead, NRSC Chairman Sen. John Cornyn torpedoed Rubio just like he stabbed Pat Toomey in the back by backing Benedict Arlen Specter 6 years ago. (Boy, they sure can pick 'em, can't they?)
I've been boycotting the national GOP since the Trent Lott fiasco. I get called by their fundraisers all the time. My response is always the same. When you guys start acting like conservatives I'll start sending you money again. Meanwhile I support individual conservative candidates. John Thune. Jim Inhofe. Rick Santorum. And yes, Pat Toomey. Marco Rubio — my check is in the mail.
The NRSC is listening to the boycott, they're just not paying attention. Their response to the protest is "cut that out". Excuse me fellas, but you're the ones who need an attitude adjustment, not those of us out here in the trenches trying to keep the Reagan legacy alive.
John Hawkins of Right Wing News hits
the nail on the head when he says "the NRSC should be focused on defeating
Democrats, not Republicans". The fact that he has to say something so obvious
speaks volumes about the disconnect between the national GOP leadership and
those of us who live in the real world.
