Like the mythical Hydra of Ancient Greece the ugly specter of Abortion, Inc.'s quest for public funding just won't die no matter how many times we whack off one of its heads. NJ State Senator Loretta Weinberg (D-Bergen) has declared "an all-out war" on Governor Chris Christie's new budget if he doesn't include money for Planned Parenthood.
"We are laying down the gauntlet that this budget is not going through without the inclusion of money for family-planning centers," Weinberg said.
Oooh, I'll bet Christie is quaking in his boots.
When it comes to public funding for infanticide, what part of "no" was unclear to you, Loretta?
Last year, for the first time in history, New Jersey taxpayers did not send one thin dime into the coffers of Abortion, Inc. And it wasn't for lack of trying on Ms. Weinberg's part. Three times she threw down her gauntlet, and three times Chris Christie kicked it (and her) to the curb.
New Jersey is not alone. Indiana and Texas are following our lead, both states will almost certainly defund Planned Parenthood this year. North Carolina and Kansas aren't far behind. That'll make 5 states (10% of the country) where unborn babies are safe from the Kermit Gosnell division of the American Medical Association.
Give it up Loretta. The days of hiding the evil of abortion behind the fig
leaf of "women's health" are over. Planned Parenthood may not wish to go
quietly into the night, but I assure you of this, go it most certainly will.
