Donald Douglas suggested it was time for more bikini-blogging. Who am I to argue? He sends the linkage my way, he does, and for that I shall be forever grateful.

Speaking of linkage, how cool is it that WyBlog has been the Right Wing News website of the day for the whole week? It's almost like John Hawkins went on vacation and left me in charge!

So, while most of you were home blogging I was out and about doing stuff with Sophie. We fired up the barbeque and hung a nice big pork roast on the rotisserie. While it was cooking we played in the yard. Every few minutes we could hear the ice cream truck nearby. It would come close, we'd run down to the street, but nope, he was on another block. This happened at least 6 times. Not once did he drive down our street.

Sophie finally looked at me and said, "Dad, the ice cream man hates us."

The pork roast turned out great. And no, we don't have any leftover fruit salad, why do you ask?

One thing I haven't been doing much of lately is mowing the lawn. Too hot for one, and not much rain means the grass really isn't growing all that high.

But instead of keeping my mower in the garage I should have hooked up with the Paccione family of Branchburg, NJ. They're the newest up-and-coming stars in the fast growing sport of lawn mower racing.

While I was busy chasing the ice cream truck they were in Maryland competing in STA-BIL Bowles Farms Turf Battle, a major race in the national championship series. The winner gets a ticket to the finals in Ohio and a chance to be inducted into the Lawn Motor Racing Hall of Fame.

Gentlemen, start your engines!

And so it begins. Diamond Offshore is the first, but certainly not the last, company to relocate one of its oil rigs from the Gulf of Mexico. The Ocean Endeavor drilling rig is on the move to Egyptian waters thanks to Barry's ban on deepwater drilling. Wave goodbye to those jobs.

But have no fear America, Barry will not rest until the leak is plugged. Maybe someone told him there were tarballs on the beaches in Maine. Really, why else would he be going there? To rest?

Meanwhile in Houston, the wife of an oil company executive was seriously injured on Saturday when a package left on her doorstep exploded as she opened it. Yikes.

Has anyone seen Bill Ayers lately? He is helping train the Obama Youth at Organizing for America, isn't he? Nah, he said that his blowing shit up days are over. And besides, the bomb was obviously sent by an angry white male in his 40's who is unhappy with the health care bill.

Two sides of Barack Obama. Pundette sees that he's not ready for the big leagues. And Bob "Wolverines" Belvedere notes that Barack Obama's #1 fan is ... Barack Obama.

Anyone here wanna cut the size of the government? Now, let's not always see the same hands... Yes, you, in the back, can you name 178 government agencies we should get rid of immediately?

It's a good list, but just to be on the safe side we really oughta include these guys too.
