BikiniFest: Patricia Heaton presents Full Metal Tuesday

International Rule 5 BikiniFest is off to a roaring start although yesterday's winner was something of a dark horse candidate.

Keeping it G-rated, here is Patricia Heaton on the beach in Hawaii. I sure do wish that was me walking next to her! I'll have to settle for letting her introduce my weekly FMJRA roundup, wherein I thank the wonderful folks who graciously linked to me over the past week or so.

But, speaking of BikiniFest, even criminals are getting in on the action! From Mississippi we learn of a new twist on carjacking — Bikini-clad woman steals car, attempts robbery. Apparently drugs and/or alcohol were a factor (gee, ya think?). No pics though, sorry.

OK, on to the linky-love report! My post on the Rule 5 identity crisis prompted Robert Stacy McCain to poke some good-natured fun at Donald Douglas while noting "You can't hold a whole fraternity responsible for the behavior of a few sick, twisted individuals." Well, yes. And muchas gracias for the link to me!

Speaking of Dr. Douglas, he felt my tongue-in-cheek reportage of German hookers on unemployment was in poor taste. Huh? He's the Official Internet Arbiter of good taste now? Look, he's been humping the Erin Andrews peephole video controversy for over a week. And personally I don't care if he wants to keep at it for the rest of his life, perhaps changing the name of his blog from "American Power" to "The American Power of Erin Andrews to Drive Hits to My Blog". But what's up with all the self-righteous posturing and name calling? Picking a fight with Dan Riehl? I think you need a vacation Don.

It is vacation season, and TrogloPundit set off into the wilderness but not before making yet another lame blind guy joke at my expense. Sigh. He says he's "camping" but I wonder if that's just the cover story he's using while he stalks Brett Favre at Vikings training camp.

Carol from No Sheeples Here! redesigned her blog layout over the weekend and also took some time off to try helping me resolve my Technorati problems. Still no joy, but her efforts are appreciated.

Pundette has this nifty sidebar widget that lists her favorite blogs with their most recent post. She has graciously included moi in the list, and her wonderful readers click through with gusto. Thanks!
