WyBlog, the best thing about New Jersey since the invention of the 24 hour diner.

Due to circumstances beyond my control I've been off the grid for the past few days. No, I haven't been enlisted as the official male concubine for the Swedish Bikini Team, although that does sound like a fun job to have. I'm "on assignment" so to speak, it was Easter weekend, and sometimes "stuff" happens.
Some random observations. I can't begin to describe how much I loathe the New York Times. If tomorrow it was swallowed up by a giant black hole and regurgitated as cosmic toxic waste I'd still take great glee in peeing on it's ashes. All anyone wanted to talk about at Easter Sunday Mass were the scurrilous allegations regarding His Holiness which have received far too much creedence from Pinch Sulzberger's Alinskyite hit squad. More than 2/3 of today's homily was devoted to the subject.
It's Easter, the happiest day of the Catholic calendar. And Pinch and that horrid shrew Maureen Dowd made sure to pee on our cornflakes.
Die you gravy sucking pigs.
And while I'm on a tear, the iTunes store sucks ass.
I've been trying for 3 days to download the movie Old Dogs into Sophie's iPod Touch. Three frigging days. It's a 1.2 GB download and it fails every 2 to 3 minutes — "download error, tap to retry". Yeah, like that'll work. It's now at 856 MB with 177.46 minutes to go and it only got that far because I'm sitting here "tapping to retry" every chance I get. Gee, it just died again while I typed this paragraph. And now it wants her iTunes password. Again.
Bastards already charged my credit card too. How's that for "service"? I paid $4.99 for the privilege of having their piece of shit software tell me it can't download the fucking movie I just paid for.
Every time I hear Obama's voice it makes my skin crawl.
His weekly radio address was supposed to be about Easter (and Passover). So why the shout-outs to Muslims and Hindus? I don't recall hearing him mention Christians while singing along to Ramadan-a-ding-dong. And what's up with acknowledging "unbelievers"? That is a distinctly Muslim turn of phrase. Of course to the Religion of Peace Christians and Jews are "unbelievers" so maybe that was Barry's way of sending a coded message to his homies.
If you go into a restaurant and you order chicken wings and you ask for mild sauce and when you take a bite it lights your mouth on fire it really doesn't matter that the fine print on their menu says "even our mild sauce has a kick to it". If it has "a kick" it is by defintion not mild. Call it something else, OK?
The iTunes download just crapped out again.
Goodnight Chet, wherever you are.
