The nor'easter currently pounding New Jersey with seventy mile per hour winds is wreaking havoc everywhere.
Utility crews are pushing through fallen trees and windblown debris this morning to to reach downed power lines, working to restore electricity to thousands of homes and businesses without service after strong winds and heavy rain wreaked havoc throughout New Jersey.
Yup, a bunch of my neighbors are without power. Here's why:
Last night one of the teenage girls came by "to see Sophie" and "oh, by the way, can I plug in my cellphone to charge?" Heh. Kids today can't live without electrons!
And she brought the bad news that another tree had fallen on my garage! We didn't even hear it because the winds were howling so loudly.
Then this morning Sophie noticed that the gate to our fence was blown off the hinges!
Right now the wind is still howling, probably about 20 to 30 mph. Thunder is booming and rain is pouring down.
Anybody got a chainsaw I could borrow?
