Technorati is indexing me again! They had to make a code change to fix the problem with my blog getting stuck in their queue. Kudos to Eric M. and the guys at GetSatisfaction.com where they have "community powered support for Technorati".
Well, they're "sorta, kinda" indexing me anyway. It's on a 24 hour tape delay or something. So I never get picked up by Memeorandum because they pull from Technorati and Technorati has stuff I posted yesterday listed as my latest blog entry. And that's old news to Memeorandum.
Wankers.

Recent headlines from my Posterous Blog:
Haloscan is without a doubt the greatest commenting system I have ever used. So naturally it's being shut down by it's new owners. Sigh.
They say the servers it runs on are "too old" and are "beginning to fail". I guess they never heard of upgrading the servers rather than taking something that works and replacing it with the latest shiny new fad, that just might not be ready for prime time. Here's a direct quote from their "upgrade FAQ" — "We understand that some features that you were comfortable with may not yet be available in Echo." Oh, goody. I like getting more hassle for less value, don't you? (And yes, I was a paying customer of Haloscan, thank you very much.)
At any rate, they held a gun to my head, saying "upgrade within 2 weeks or lose every comment ever posted to your blog". Their timing is perfect too, it's Christmas, followed by New Years, who's got time to re-implement the comment widgets on their blog? Oh, and did I mention that I have to pay them $10 per year for the privilege of upgrading, sight unseen, to Echo? And that once I pay them they'll mysteriously modify all my templates behind the scenes but not give me a definite timetable for when that will be? So at some moment in the future the entire layout of my blog could change, but have no fear, they've got a "skinning guide" that reads like Greek to me.
It's like my blog got coal in its stocking. Yippee kai ay.
