Technorati and Me
Technorati is indexing me again! They had to make a code change to fix the problem with my blog getting stuck in their queue. Kudos to Eric M. and the guys at GetSatisfaction.com where they have "community powered support for Technorati".
Well, they're "sorta, kinda" indexing me anyway. It's on a 24 hour tape delay or something. So I never get picked up by Memeorandum because they pull from Technorati and Technorati has stuff I posted yesterday listed as my latest blog entry. And that's old news to Memeorandum.

Facepalm! Facebook now has a trademark on the word "face"
This Sunday you won't be able to watch Face The Nation on CBS. And when the ref drops the puck at a hockey game the announcer can't call it a face-off. Don't go asking your boss for any more face time or schedule any face to face meetings with your clients.
The US Patent and Trademark Office has granted Facebook a trademark on the word "face".
Surely they're being facetious? Can they really trademark a word essential to every facet of our lives?
Apparently yes, they can. And they did.
Face painters will face the music if they don't find a new name for their craft. But on the plus side, Joan Rivers won't be able to go in for another face lift.
The NFL has lots of lawyers, maybe they'll get an exemption for face mask. Still, it's a good thing scalpers don't sell tickets for face value.
Face™ it, we're doomed.
