WyBlog, the best thing about New Jersey since the invention of the 24 hour diner.

Technorati is indexing me again! They had to make a code change to fix the problem with my blog getting stuck in their queue. Kudos to Eric M. and the guys at GetSatisfaction.com where they have "community powered support for Technorati".
Well, they're "sorta, kinda" indexing me anyway. It's on a 24 hour tape delay or something. So I never get picked up by Memeorandum because they pull from Technorati and Technorati has stuff I posted yesterday listed as my latest blog entry. And that's old news to Memeorandum.
Wankers.

Recent headlines from my Posterous Blog:
New Jersey's Flying Fish Brewery produces a well known brand of quality craft
beers. Their latest batch of microbrews are labeled to honor the most
congested of our state's highways — the New Jersey Turnpike — by
releasing a special beer in honor each exit.
And like clockwork the scolds at MADD (aka the Women's Christian Temperence
Union) are
horrified at the prospect of associating a road, on which people
drive!, with demon rum beer.
"There's been a brokered peace here," Orlando said. "But don't expect to see it in any of our rest areas."
That doesn't satisfy Mindy Lazar, executive director of New Jersey's chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving. "The combination of a roadway and advertising for any kind of a beer doesn't make any kind of sense," she said. "This is almost a mockery."
Well, there is a mockery here, but it's MADD mocking themselves. Advertising is all about associating pop culture with a product. Coors Lite and pretty girls, Budweiser and summer parties, and now Flying Fish and our iconic NJ Turnpike exits. When it comes to NJ, nothing quite captures the essense of our state like the Turnpike and the Parkway. When we say we're from New Jersey, the first question is usually "what exit?"
Into the fray jump the joyless scolds of MADD who apparently cannot separate enjoying a beer or 2 with falling down blind drunk and heading off on a road trip. To them everyone is just seconds away from getting plastered and aiming their car at a playground full of kids. Millions of Americans drink responsibly every single day. Yet MADD would rather harass them than work on getting the habitual drunkards off the road.
The reason is simple; the drunkards are intransigent so it requires far more effort to rein them in. But targeting the casual drinker makes it easier for MADD to marginalize alcohol as they work to reinstate the 18th Amendment.
So to ensure they don't succeed let's all raise a glass (or 3) of Flying Fish
Exit 4!
