Technorati and Me
Technorati is indexing me again! They had to make a code change to fix the problem with my blog getting stuck in their queue. Kudos to Eric M. and the guys at GetSatisfaction.com where they have "community powered support for Technorati".
Well, they're "sorta, kinda" indexing me anyway. It's on a 24 hour tape delay or something. So I never get picked up by Memeorandum because they pull from Technorati and Technorati has stuff I posted yesterday listed as my latest blog entry. And that's old news to Memeorandum.

Chad Pennington's been benched
It's official, Eric Mangini announced that Kellen Clemens will start on Sunday against the Redskins. As the quarterback, Chad Pennington is taking the hit for the Jets' ineffective offense. It's not all his fault though, which will soon be obvious when they lose again. Laveranues Coles couldn't catch a cold let alone a decently thrown pass. Thomas Jones has finally figured out how to move the ball downfield, and Brian Schottenheimer is still calling the dink-and-dunk on 3rd and long. Chris Baker, when he's actually allowed to be in the game, looks like the invisible man out there; he's open, but he never gets the ball.
Play calling is the real problem with the Jets. The razzle-dazzle, call
audibles at the line of scrimmage, shift all the guys back and forth, hurry
up offense isn't fooling anyone. It sure didn't fool Buffalo which has one
of the league's worst defenses. The Jets need to knock off the gimmicks and
get back to fundamentals. That's the only bright spot in knowing Clemens
will be under center on Sunday. He hasn't had a lot of reps with the first
team so he's gotta keep things simple.
