Technorati is indexing me again! They had to make a code change to fix the problem with my blog getting stuck in their queue. Kudos to Eric M. and the guys at GetSatisfaction.com where they have "community powered support for Technorati".
Well, they're "sorta, kinda" indexing me anyway. It's on a 24 hour tape delay or something. So I never get picked up by Memeorandum because they pull from Technorati and Technorati has stuff I posted yesterday listed as my latest blog entry. And that's old news to Memeorandum.

The democrats in Paterson, New Jersey have had quite a week.
First they flew a Palestinian flag over City Hall. Because, you know, one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. Or something.
And then they crossed the aisle to endorse Chris Christie for re-election. Because our governor has never met a terrorist-sympathizing Muslim lawyer he couldn't elevate to a Superior Court Judgeship.
But hey, if Christie's gotta cavort with jihadis to get re-elected, that's
just good politics, right?

Mitt Romney is right — the Obama Administration is continually equivocating when it comes to condeming the Islamic attacks on our embassies in Libya and Egypt. Every single statement they release begins with some variation on "the United States rejects efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others".
"While the United States rejects efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others, we must all unequivocally oppose the kind of senseless violence that took the lives of these public servants," Obama said.
"The United States deplores any intentional effort to denigrate the religious beliefs of others. Our commitment to religious tolerance goes back to the very beginning of our nation."
What they both mean, of course, is the United States opposes any denigration of Islam. Put a crucifix in urine and the United States Government will send you checks courtesy of the National Endowment for the Arts.
And if they stood behind the religious beliefs of Jews they wouldn't get all tongue-tied whenever someone asks if Jerusalem is the Capital of Israel.
For that matter, an Administration which honored religious beliefs wouldn't use Obamacare to trample all over the Catholic Church.
So take note, all of you who harshly condemn anti-homosexuality religious beliefs, "The United States deplores any intentional effort to denigrate the religious beliefs of others." Yeah, I'm looking at you Curt.
But one guy makes a movie telling the truth about Islam's pedophile prophet and our government's first reaction is to tweet an apology. Then the clown show on MSNBC calls for the filmmaker to be arrested. Because Obama State Media never learned the true meaning of "Free Speech".
So what did Mitt Romney actually say that was so terrible? I'm guessing the diplo-dhimmis got their shorts into a knot over this part:
"I also believe the Administration was wrong to stand by a statement sympathizing with those who had breached our embassy in Egypt instead of condemning their actions. It's never too early for the United States Government to condemn attacks on Americans, and to defend our values. The White House distanced itself last night from the statement, saying it wasn't 'cleared by Washington.' That reflects the mixed signals they're sending to the world."
So I ask you, what's wrong with that? Nothing! It's a refreshingly straightforward statement. Which is of course why it makes the Obamabots so uncomfortable.
The Smart Diplomacy crowd may have "distanced" themselves from their embassy's original statement, but the mealy-mouthed "we love Islam and hate people who hate it" nonsense survives, and flourishes.
They're still blaming the movie. As if an obscure movie, that no one had ever heard of, with no distribution deal, and no chance of making it to HBO, suddenly agitated millions of peaceful Muslims, compelling them to take to the streets with violence on their minds and hatred in their hearts.
Believe that, and I've got a bridge in Brooklyn you can have, cheap.
Why do Muslims hate us? Because that's what they do. They hate. (You really should read Brigitte Gabriel's book by the way, it'll curl your hair.)
As for the true motivation behind these "spontaneous" protests, Walid Shoebat translated the Arabic writings which encouraged people to join the demonstrations. Unsurprisingly the attacks were planned days ago, and set for September 11th.
Gee, I wonder why Muslims might want to attack America on September 11th? Any guesses folks?
The Arabic sources show that this was in support of al-Qaeda day, posting al-Qaeda flags and some of the chanting was about reminding Americans that there are many al-Qaedas (ie Nour Party). Americans should ask themselves a hard question:
If our enemy is al-Qaeda exclusively, then why is an entire political party — which makes up over 20% of Egypt's new Parliament — aligning with al-Qaeda?
Obama doesn't want you to ask that question. He wants you to ask why Mitt Romney is criticizing him. And his lapdog media happily obliges. Obama held a "press conference" today, at which he took no questions. Mitt Romney held a press conference too, at which he was grilled about his criticism of Obama.
Then Obama jetted off to Las Vegas for a fundraiser. The family of Ambassador Stevens surely appreciates the president's committment to duty, honor, and re-election. His autopen-signed form letter of condolence is already in the mail, so from Barry's perspective, this chapter is closed.
Back on the don't-insult-Islam front, I'll leave you guys with one last bit of information. Obama's top civil rights official recently refused to support freedom of speech when asked about enacting laws which criminalize blasphemy.
President Barack Obama's top civil rights official repeatedly declined to support religious free speech during a July 27 congressional hearing, despite repeated questioning from Arizona Republican Rep. Trent Franks, who chairs the House's constitution subcommittee.
Tom Perez, the progressive who runs the Justice Department's civil rights office, refused to answer the questions posed by Franks.
"Will you tell usE that this administration's Department of Justice will never entertain or advance a proposal that criminalizes speech against any religion?" Frank asked four times.
Perez refused to answer, saying "it is a hard question, in the sense that when you make threats against someone."
If the Obama Administration won't defend free speech in front of Congress, does anyone here believe they'll defend it when faced by an angry Mohammedan mob?

Not to be outdone on the 11th anniversary of 9-11, the Libyans killed our Ambassador and 3 other Americans, then burned our consulate in Benghazi to the ground.
Why? Because the Muslims are mad. About a movie. So naturally their first reaction is to start killing people. Because Islam is a Religion Of Peace™.
How's that Arab Spring looking now Mr. Smart Diplomacy?
But wait! President Quisling quickly reacted to these attacks on U.S. sovereignty!
By having his minions apologize to the invaders for hurting their feelings.
If we had a Real President he'd know what to do with marauders who invade our embassy. Shoot them on sight.
If we had a Real President he'd know what to do when animals burn our flag. Rick Monday, please call the White House.
I posted a similar rant to Facebook last night, and I was immediately chastised by a liberal Democrat for not sticking to the "9-11, refrain from the profane" 24 hour sabbatical on political banter.
Except Barry the chronic campaigner didn't get the memo either.
So what's a blogger to do? I call 'em like I see 'em! That's what I do.
Are you ready for 444 days of Huma Abedin "negotiating" with her mother's friends in the Muslim Brotherhood? Because I'm not. I remember 1979. I remember the hostages. I remember Jimmy Carter's impotent ineptitude. And I weep for the America that was.

The United States Congress has blocked nearly $200m in aid for the Palestinians, threatening projects such as food aid, health care, and support for efforts to build a functioning state.
Yeah, because only the United States can fund "food aid" and "health care" for terrorist monsters! Hamas has plenty of Arab brothers, flush with petrodollars. I'm sure somebody else can pick up the slack. If the actual goal is to build a "functioning state."
But guess what? Here's a little fact the New York Times won't mention. The "Palestinian people" already have a functioning state. It's called "Jordan."
Mahmoud Abbas and his Hamas cronies aren't interested in "peace," not in the conventional sense anyway. Their idea of "peace" is the silence we'll hear from the U.N. when the last Jew is stuffed into an oven. Why are we sending our tax dollars to help terrorists destroy Israel?
There have been persistent demands in Congress to withhold up to $600m — the average amount given by the US in bilateral assistance to the West Bank and Gaza every year since 2008 — in the next financial year over the issue.
Good. There are 22 member states in the Arab League. Let 'em pass the hat. I'm sure they can come up with $600 million. If, you know, they're committed to peace.

Ten years after, and we still haven't rebuilt Ground Zero.
Nor have we defeated the enemy.
It might be said, sacrilegiously, that the enemy is winning.
The Islamization of America continues expeditiously.
At Ground Zero the official 9/11 memorial is a mulitcultural mishmash of transhumanism, dedicated to victimology and devoid of any emphasis on the greatness of America or her founding upon Judeo-Christian principles.
Yet one block away the priorities of our government are plain to see. The Ground Zero Victory Mosque and Jihadi Training Center rises above the skyline, its construction cheered on by the mayor of New York City and the president of the United States. Alas, Saint Nicholas Church, destroyed in the attacks, remains in ruins, the mayor of New York City actively opposes its reconstruction.
Yesterday in Shanksville, PA the National Park Service dedicated a memorial to the victims of United Flight 93. The "Crescent of Embrace" was intentionally designed as a mihrab, the Mecca-direction indicator around which every mosque is built. Curiously the atheist agitators who raised a ruckus over the Ground Zero cross are totally silent when confronted with this overtly Islamic symbolism. As are our leaders, who deny any connection between our remembrance of the attacks and appeasement of the enemy.
The facts speak for themselves.
Of course the current president of the United States was born a Muslim, and later made common cause with domestic terrorists who share many of the same anti-American beliefs as our jihadi enemies. His principle financial backer is a sworn globalist who seeks to subvert the sovereignty of the U.S. government by actively undermining our financial system.
Our children are being subjected to multicultural brainwashing on a massive scale. In our classrooms American exceptionalism is portrayed as inherently evil, castigated as the root cause of misery and suffering around the world. Indeed a majority of our political and intellectual class believe that we brought 9/11 upon ourselves, that U.S. foreign policy and intervention in the affairs of Muslim nations drove them to hatred of America.
Today is called "Patriot's Day." But where have all the Patriots gone?
I for one will stand firm. I will never surrender to Islam. By any means necessary I will defend this nation against all enemies, foreign and domestic. The forces of darkness cannot be permitted to extinguish the beacon of light which is The United States of America. We are the last great hope of Western Civilization.
Never Forget.

And of course that religion is The Religion of Peace™
In his fiercest defense yet of the mosque proposed near Ground Zero, Mayor Bloomberg declared yesterday that it must be allowed to proceed because the government "shouldn't be in the business of picking" one religion over another.
But his government is most certaily involved in the business of picking one religion over another: Clergy Banned From 9/11 Ceremony.
Religious leaders are calling on Mayor Michael Bloomberg to reverse course and offer clergy a role in the ceremony commemorating the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center.
No prayer, just the looming presence of Iman Rauf's Ground Zero Death to America Victory Mosque overshadowing the solemnity of the remembrance ceremonies. And of course no acknowledgement of the void where Saint Nicholas Church ought to stand. Destroyed in the attacks, it's rebirth languishes beneath NYC and Port Authority red tape. Red tape which magically fails to impede construction of a new house of worship, one that is dedicated to the ideology which spawned 9/11 in the first place.
Because in Bloombergistan they are not involved in the business of picking one religion over another.

A Muslim-American Army private was indicted yesterday on charges he intended to use firearms and explosives to kill American soldiers at Fort Hood. You remember Fort Hood, where another Muslim-American bent on jihad infiltrated our armed forces and killed 13 soldiers who were about to be deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.
But wait, here's the best part. This kid who was arrested before he could murder the Real Patriots serving alongside him? He claimed to be a pacifist. Pfc. Naser Jason Abdo was approved as a conscientious objector after citing his Muslim beliefs.
Which would be the belief that it's forbidden by Allah for one Muslim to kill another. Even in a war. But killing American infidels? That's sanctioned by the Koran! It's his holy duty! The Palestinians are gonna pin a medal on him.
And yet there are people who wonder why I never take that Religion of Peace™ shit seriously.

Osama bin Laden's massive porn stash, confirmed!
A stash of pornography was found in the hideout of Osama bin Laden by the U.S. commandos who killed him, current and former U.S. officials said on Friday.
The pornography recovered in bin Laden's compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, consists of modern, electronically recorded video and is fairly extensive, according to the officials, who discussed the discovery with Reuters on condition of anonymity.
Three wives, and porn? Osama, you dog!
It's not surprising though. More than half of my "Rule 5" hits come via Google from sites in Muslim countries like Pakistan, Iran, and Saudi Arabia. Yes, even Mecca. Especially Mecca. At a recent town hall event somebody had the guts to ask Chris Christie about his nomination of Sohail Mohammed to a spot on the Superior Court. And Christie ducked the question.
During the question-and-answer session, Christie quickly corrected an audience member who said Mohammed, an Indian-American who has been criticized by right-wing blogs for allegedly supporting radical Islamists, had defended terrorists in Guantanamo Bay.
"If it is disqualifying for the bench to be an Arab-American in New Jersey who represents innocent people and gets them released, then this isn't the state I believe it is," Christie said.
Whack! goes the straw-man.
Nobody said Mr. Mohammed was unqualified because he was Arab, a Muslim, or because he represented "innocent people."
Sohail Mohammed is unqualified because he is a board member of the American Muslim Union — a group known to be sympathetic to terrorists. The AMU shares leadership with the Islamic Center of Passaic County where Mr. Mohammed worships. The founder of his mosque is an admitted Hamas operative. The current Imam, Mohammed Qatanani, is affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood. Imam Qatanani also lied on his application for permanent residency, neglecting to mention that he was convicted on terrorism-related charges in Israel.
Who helped prepare Imam Qatanani's Green Card application? Sohail Mohammed.
Who defended Imam Qatanani at his deportation hearings? Sohail Mohammed.
How's that representer of innocent people thing working out for you now Governor?
Want more? OK!
Sohail Mohammed publicly stood up for Sami Al-Arian following a 2003 indictment which alleged he was a North American leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
Appearing on MSNBC, Mohammed criticized the fact that it took years of investigation before the indictment was issued. "It all points out to the distrust that the Muslim community have, which is this is nothing but a witch-hunt," he said. "This is nothing but a politically motivated indictment, and all you are waiting for is the right opportunity to indict the person, the climate is right."
Ayup, sounds like a guy who's completely impartial, right?
Sami al-Arian pled guilty to one count of conspiring to provide goods and services to the Palestinian Islamic Jihad. The evidence made it clear that al-Arian was up to his eyeballs in terrorist activity.
Mr. Mohammed also sings the praises of the Holy Land Foundation, an organization which was shut down by the U.S. government for it's documented ties to Hamas.
Mohammed told the Record of Bergen County, N.J., that the government was unjustly singling out Muslim organizations. "People see this as another example of how heavy-handed the administration has been thus far," he said.
Damn those Americans, always wanting to stop The Believers from funding terrorists!
Are we seeing a pattern here yet, Governor?
Do you really want to put a man on the bench who seems to have very little respect for our laws against terrorism? Defending innocents? Or seeing no evil?
I'm going with "seeing no evil." Why? Because Mr. Mohammed is a master at obfuscating the line between terrorists and their Islamic roots.
In addition to defending accused terrorists, Mohammed is defensive about acknowledging their motivations. He was critical of a case brought by Christie's office when the governor was U.S. Attorney. The Fort Dix defendants were accused, and later convicted, of plotting a mass casualty attack on the New Jersey military base as an act of jihad. Mohammed objected to the use of the phrase "Islamic militants" in the government's case.
"Don't equate actions with religion," he said.
Really? Don't equate "actions" with religion? Even when the Religion in Question specifically demands utterly despicable "actions"?
I'm talking, of course, about Sharia law, and it's barbaric implementation.
How does Mr. Mohammed feel about the case of a 14 year old girl who was whipped to death for the crime of being raped? Whipped to death on the orders of a Muslim holy man. Because she was raped.
Go ahead, tell me we can't equate those actions with religion.
Because that's the medieval barbarism Sohail Mohammed defends. Those are the actions for which he'll be first in line with an excuse.
In New Jersey a Superior Court judge doesn't even have to be a Muslim to enforce Sharia law:
In 2008, Judge Joseph Charles, a non-Muslim Superior Court Judge, heard a case involving a 17 year old Muslim girl in an arranged marriage who had been repeatedly beaten and raped by her husband. An Imam was called to the stand who testified that a wife must comply with her husband's sexual demands. And Judge Charles decided that the husband was acting within the norms of Muslim practice, and could not be held accountable for it.
Justice be damned!
Of course Sohail Mohammed won't equate actions with religion. He'll merely adjudicate actions according to religion. He's said as much when commenting on some very public cases. Why shouldn't we take him at his word?
I guess because taking Sohail Mohammed at his word would mean he is unqualified
to be a Superior Court judge in the State of New Jersey and Chris Christie is
having none of that.

Last year Yvette Beshier took a job as an Essex County corrections officer. There is an official uniform. Unsurprisingly it does not include a burka. Ms. Beshier wore her burka to work, was told to remove it, and she sued the county for religious discrimination. Obama's Justice Department concurred, and on Friday the county settled her lawsuit.
She's now $25,000 richer. Our elected officials capitulated to Islamic supremacism. To reinforce the dhimmitude everyone in the employ of Essex County has to undergo another round of diversity training to learn about "religious tolerance".
Yippee-kai-ay. Islam is all about religious tolerance.
Wanna bet that if Margaret O'Malley insisted on wearing her crucifix the county (and Obama's DOJ) wouldn't be quite so understanding?
It's pretty sad when France has a more rational burka policy than we do.

Christian persecution is not a subject which gets a lot of attention. Our
media is endlessly pre-occupied with whether or not
someone looks cross-eyed at a Muslim in an airport. Who's got time to
investigate real problems?
But in lands controlled by adherents of The Religion of Peace™ being stared at is the least of a Christian's worries. Harassment, persecution, degradation, and even death are daily encumbrances to be overcome, or more likely prayerfully accepted. Yet most of the so-called international human rights organizations have turned their collective backs on the victims of Muslim aggression.
His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI hears the cries of the Faithful. He has convened a Special Assembly for the Middle East for the Synod of Bishops to meet in Vatican City.
Blogger Lisa Graas recently compiled a shocking list of 15 quotations from some of the over 250 Catholic bishops in attendance. The depths of the depravity forced upon Christians by their Muslim "brothers" must be exposed for the world to see.
Here are a few samples.
#15. Raymond Moussalli, Vicar General of the Patriarchate of Babylon of
the Chaldeans, Jordan.
There is a deliberate campaign to drive Christians out of the country.
Fundamentalist extremist groups have satanic plans against Christians, not
only in Iraq but throughout the Middle East. ... We want to make the
international community aware that it cannot remain silent in the face of the
massacre of Christians in Iraq. ... We are experiencing a catastrophic moment,
... with the loss of our people who still speak the Aramaic language spoken by
Our Lord Jesus Christ.
#13. Archbishop Ruggero Franceschini O.F.M. Cap. of Izmir, Turkey,
Administrator of the Apostolic Vicariate of Anatolia and President of the
Turkish Episcopal Conference.
The little Church of Turkey, at times ignored, had her sad moment of fame with
the
brutal murder of Bishop Luigi Padovese O.F.M. Cap., president of the
Turkish Episcopal Conference. ... It was premeditated murder, by those
responsible for the killing of Fr. Andrea Santoro, the Armenian journalist
Dink and four Protestants of Malatya. It is a murky story of complicity
between ultra-nationalists and religious fanatics. ... The pastoral and
administrative situation in the vicariate of Anatolia is serious. ...
#11. Bishop Paul Hinder O.F.M. Cap., Apostolic Vicar of Arabia, United
Arab Emirates.
There are strict immigration laws (restricting the number of priests). ...
There is no freedom of religion (no Muslim can convert but Christians are
welcome into Islam), and only limited freedom of worship in designated places,
granted by benevolent rulers (except in Saudi Arabia).
#5. Archbishop Basile Georges Casmoussa of Mosul of the Syrians, Iraq.
In our Middle Eastern countries, we are small minorities, much ravaged by ...
Waves of terrorism inspired by religious ideologies, Islamic or totalitarian,
which deny even the principle of equality to the advantage of a fundamentalist
revisionism which crushes minorities, including Christians who are the most
vulnerable. ...
Read the whole thing.
Please pray for the fortitude of our Christian brothers and sisters as they live
and worship in peril among the Mohammedans. May Almighty God look with favor
upon the pleadings of the oppressed and deliver them from evil.

The First Amendment means whatever President Obama says it means. In Murfreesboro, Tennessee it now means that our right to Free Speech is secondary to Muslims' right to promote their religion.
The Obama administration, for the second time in two months, interjected itself Monday into an angry local dispute over a proposed Islamic center, warning local officials that opposing the mosque could violate the civil rights of its members and become a federal crime.
Allahu Akbar dudes. Didn't you get that Islam is a Religion of Peace™ memo? You gotta stop listening to the crazy people! Only a small, obscurely tiny minority of Muslims are the evil-doers.
Muslims engage in terror, purport to pass sentence of death on mocking Westerners thousands of miles away, take school children hostage and kill them, behead passing Christian schoolgirls, riot in the streets when Egyptian Christians seeks to convert an existing building into a church, pull out the toenails of converts to Christianity, defile Christian churches and wipe themselves with pages from the Bible, defenestrate other Muslims who suggest that the Koran can be interpreted, inflict ghastly medieval punishments on criminals, subjugate women, enslave infidels, marry their cousins, wallow in obscurantism, flog themselves with knives and chains, dress their infant children in suicide bomber costumes, worship the AK and Semtex, systematically expel Christians and Jews from Muslim lands, dance in the streets when hijacked airliners are used to kill thousands of innocent Westerners, create impenetrable enclaves in Western lands, chivvy Western nations for shariah as a parallel legal system, imprison their servants, mutilate the genitals of their girls, engage in "honor" killings, and singlehandedly ramp up rates of violent crime in Western lands (including wholesale arson) but this, pilgrims, has not even a remote connection to Islam. No, Sir. None. Zip.
And now, here in the good old U S of A, putting a voice to that remote connection is a hate crime. Currently punishable by a hefty fine and a year or two in the slammer. Sooner or later though it's bound to result in a least a few beheadings. Just to be certain we get the point. Nothing personal, it's a multiculturalism thing.
Then for sure the overwhelming majority of moderate Muslims will live
together with us infidels in peace and harmony. Yessirree, you can take
that to the bank. The Sharia-compliant bank, of course.

The U.S. Supreme Court has long held that burning something in protest, even an American flag, is a form of free speech protected by the First Amendment.
Unless that something is a Koran. Burn a Koran and if you work for New Jersey Transit, you're fired.
The protester who burned pages from the Koran outside a planned mosque near Ground Zero has been fired from NJTransit, sources and authorities said Tuesday.
Derek Fenton's 11-year career at the agency came to an abrupt halt Monday after photographs of him ripping pages from the Muslim holy book and setting them ablaze appeared in newspapers.
Fenton, 39, of Bloomingdale, N.J., burned the book during a protest on the ninth anniversary of Sept. 11 outside Park51, the controversial mosque slated to be built near Ground Zero.
In my mind buring a book, any book, is sacrilege. Books are a cornerstone of our civilization. Burning the book does nothing to erase the ideas which are embodied in it. It would be far better to refute those ideas with better ideas.
If Mr. Fenton had instead burned a Bible I suppose Imam Rauf and his buddies in the ACLU would have pinned a medal on him. Remember, this is the country where sticking a crucifix in urine gets you a lifetime sinecure courtesy of the taxpayer.
But if you're NJTransit or Justice Stephen Breyer burning a Koran is somehow different.
Not to me it isn't. Burn the flag or burn the Koran, they're both equally provocative. Mr. Fenton is well within his constitutional rights to express himself as he sees fit. The NYPD, which didn't arrest him, understands this fact far better than the brass at NJTransit.
Give Derek Fenton his job back.

President Obama stressed that America was not at war with Islam as he decried the "sorry band of men" who attacked the nation nine years ago in memorial ceremonies at the Pentagon on Saturday.
America is not at war with Islam? Why in the hell not???
Islam is most certainly at war with us.
Barry's "sorry band of men" found justification for their attack in the tenets of Islam. They were guided and encouraged in their holy jihad by learned men steeped in Islamic scholarship. To disassociate the 19 hijackers from Islam is to deny their very raison d'etre.
If there were no Islam, if the Middle East had stayed true to the traditions of Christ rather than having been led astray by Muhammad,, 9/11 could not have occured.
The seeds of 9/11 were planted the moment Muhammed and his followers picked up their swords. Jesus said, "he who lives by the sword will die by the sword."
The borders of Islam are bloody indeed.
Pretending they are not won't change that fact.

If a Florida whackjob burns a book, Muslims will be "provoked" into violence.
If Imam Rauf is forced to move his Death to America Victory Mosque away from Ground Zero, Muslims will also be "provoked" into violence.
If a Danish newspaper publishes some cartoons, Muslims resort to violence.
If Angela Merkel honors the cartoonist, Muslims threaten violence.
If Theo Van Gogh makes a film, Muslims react with violence.
If Geert Wilders gives a speech, Muslims plan more violence.
If Ayaan Hirsi Ali leaves Islam, Muslims condemn her to a violent death.
If anyone criticizes Islam, the Fatwas come fast and furious. Violence surely follows.
The pattern is unmistakeable. Islam begets violence.
It doesn't matter what anyone else does, or doesn't do. The effect is the same.
It's time we stopped trying to appease the unappeaseable.
For the better part of two decades, Americans have been murdered by Islamists and then lectured that they are to blame for what has befallen them. We have been instructed in the need for special sensitivity to the unceasing demands of Islamic culture and falsely accused of intolerance by the people who wrote the book on intolerance. Americans have sacrificed blood and bottomless treasure for Islamic peoples who despise Americans — and despise us even more as our sacrifices and gestures of self-loathing intensify. Americans have watched as apologists for terrorists and sharia were made the face of an American Muslim community that we were simultaneously assured was the very picture of pro-American moderation.
It is not our fault that Islam is incompatible with American values and societal mores. We shouldn't have to apologize for "un-Islamic" actions, words, or thoughts. It is absurd to even try, because the mere fact of our existence is reason enough to cause offense.
Religion of Peace™ My Ass.
The "extremists", said to be a small minority, are actually a mass movement riding a tide of ascendancy. They are winning hearts and minds while we self-flagellate our way into subservience.
"Moderate Islam" is a dream, not a reality. It is a dream with potential, because there are millions of Muslims who are moderate people, and because there are dedicated Muslims working to transform their faith into something that is institutionally moderate. But they work against great odds. They confront Islamists whose dedication to theocratic principles is deeply and undeniably rooted in Islamic scripture.
The mythical Moderate Muslim is just that, an apocryphal mirage conjured up in a vain attempt to dissuade us from believing that which we see with our own eyes. He won't speak out for fear of the "extremists". He won't stand up to their beligerency either.
For him to do so is to invoke the wrath of the extremists and paint a bulls-eye on his own back. It is far easier to demur, and deflect the ire onto a bigger, more deserving target. Like America.
It is time for us to say "no". No, we won't be intimidated. No, we won't tolerate intolerance. No, we cannot guarantee you won't be offended. And, no you do not have the right to use our own good nature against us.
At some point we have to face down a culture in which not only the mob in the street but the highest judges and academics talk like crazies. Abdul Rahman embodies the question at the heart of this struggle: If Islam is a religion one can only convert to, not from, then in the long run it is a threat to every free person on the planet.
In a more culturally confident age, the British in India were faced with the practice of "suttee" — the tradition of burning widows on the funeral pyres of their husbands. Gen. Sir Charles Napier was impeccably multicultural:
"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: When men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks, and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."
Muslims say that any offense to Islam is cause enough for violence. Very
well. Come forth then and act like barbarians. We know all too well
how to deal with barbarians. We've done it time and again, from the halls
of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli.

I'm not the only person who casts a wary eye on the motivations of the worldwide Islamic Ummah. My friend Bob Belvedere while opining on Barry's endorsement of Cordoba House uncovered this magnificent quotation from America's sixth president, John Quincy Adams:
In the seventh century of the Christian era, a wandering Arab of the lineage of Hagar (mohammed), the Egyptian, combining the powers of transcendent genius, with the preternatural energy of a fanatic, and the fraudulent spirit of an impostor, proclaimed himself as a messenger from Heaven, and spread desolation and delusion over an extensive portion of the earth. Adopting from the sublime conception of the Mosaic law, the doctrine of one omnipotent god; he connected indissolubly with it, the audacious falsehood, that he was himself his prophet and apostle. Adopting from the new Revelation of Jesus, the faith and hope of immortal life, and of future retribution, he humbled it to the dust by adapting all the rewards and sanctions of his religion to the gratification of the sexual passion. He poisoned the sources of human felicity at the fountain, by degrading the condition of the female sex, and the allowance of polygamy; and he declared undistinguishing and exterminating war, as a part of his religion, against all the rest of mankind. The essence of his doctrine was violence and lust: to exalt the brutal over the spiritual part of human nature ... Between these two religions, thus contrasted in their characters, a war of twelve hundred years has already raged. The war is yet flagrant ... While the merciless and dissolute dogmas of the false prophet shall furnish motives to human action, there can never be peace upon the earth, and good will towards men.
Now here we are, another 200 years later. The current successor to Mr. Adams offers mealy-mouthed platitudes about "religious tolerance" in response to Mohammedan provocations. Apparently we have to let them build their Victory Mosque or the terrorists will have won.
Would that our president extended his notion of religious tolerance to the Jews of Jerusalem, whom he constantly lectures on the need to cease building synagogues and houses. Which of course turns out to be exactly the course of action desired by, you guessed it, Muslims.
Seems like that with Mr. Obama, whatever the Muslims want, the Muslims should get. It's no wonder considering how he's one of them.
Speaking of promoting tolerance and building bridges, get a load of how the Cordoba House guys reacted to a sadly erroneous report in the Israeli newspaper Haaretz that they'd agreed to accept Gov. Paterson's offer and relocate their mosque. Here is the Mel-Gibson-eqsue response posted to their official Twitter feed:
PARK51: On a side note, if Haaretz likes publishing fables, perhaps they could go back to the Yiddish ones with parables #welikethosebetter.
And yet some of you folks have chided me for sowing the seeds of discord? Here' the thing, Jew-hatred runs in the Rauf family. His father's mosque is a hotbed of radical Islamic nut-jobbery. And of course Holocaust denial; these guys are always Holocaust deniers.
Anyway, back to the "not all Muslims are radicals" line of bullshit.
Here's video of a 3 year old girl, barely old enough to recite her ABC's who nonetheless has already assimilated enough Jew hatred to make Heinrich Himmler proud.
Now let's consider a few things. This isn't a western TV expose playing
gotcha. This is Saudi state television. They praise this pint
sized bigot. They hold her up as a shining example of Hitler
youth Saudi childhood, and pray for all children to emulate her.
That my friends is child abuse. Child abuse at the hands of the most powerful and extant strain of Islam in the world today.
So long as little girls are being taught to hate from the moment they are
born there is nothing we can do or say which will change the
direction upon which Islam has embarked. And as John Quincy Adams noted, we
ignore their hatred at our peril.

Dontcha just love Sarah Palin? She cuts to the chase.
Mr. President, should they or should they not build a mosque steps away from where radical Islamists killed 3000 people? Please tell us your position. We all know that they have the right to do it, but should they? And, no, this is not above your pay grade.
"Should they or should they not"? That my friends is the real question. Many things are legal. Yet many perfectly legal activities are improper, or worse.
Barry is already backtracking from his full-throated endorsement of the Ground Zero mosque. And Pravda reports that he's unwilling to address the merits of the issue:
"I was not commenting, and I will not comment, on the wisdom of making the decision to put a mosque there," Mr. Obama said. "I was commenting very specifically on the right people have that dates back to our founding. That's what our country is about."
That's Real Leadership! Spoken like a True Statesman!
Sorry Sarah, Barry says this issue is indeed above his pay grade.
The debate over the Cordoba mosque isn't about religious freedom. It's sophistry on stilts to believe that it is. Muslims go to their mosques all across America every day. Muslims go to mosques in New York City every day too. No one is saying they have to stop doing that.
Left Coast Rebel makes a very valid point: When Fred Phelps shows up to disrupt and desecrate a solemn memorial service for a fallen soldier we don't get all huffy about "religious freedom". Anyone with a shred of decency recoils in disgust.
Muslim apologist groups like CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations) are quick to point out when something we or our government does impinges on "Muslim sensibilities".
What's good for the goose is good for the gander fellas. Your Ground Zero mega-mosque impinges on American sensibilities. More than three quarters of us oppose its construction. If you're really interested in promoting tolerance and building bridges you'll pick up your mosque and move it. The governor of New York is making you an offer you shouldn't refuse.
UPDATE 15 Aug 2010 15:43:
Religious freedom my ass!
Read this note from Fr. Constantine J. Simones Waterford, pastor of Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. St. Nicholas Church was destroyed on 9/11 by the collapse of the twin towers.
To date the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, along with the Bloomberg Administration in New York City, have used every bureaucratic trick in the book to stymie its rebuilding. The church has spent nine years trying to get building permits. Nine years.
But the Ground Zero "Death to America" Victory mosque is fast-tracked?

A lefty moonbat has been trying to convince me that Islam is really The Religion of Peace™. He found one of my posts against the planned Ground Zero "Death to America" Victory mosque and set about lecturing me on the finer points of Islam and the Koran.
He's an "authority" you see; he read the Koran once. So like Madonna reading some Talmud makes her an expert on Kabbalah, Gage Lawhon of Vancouver, Washington, one year out of Washington State is hell-bent on telling me (and presumably all of you) why his interpretation of Islam and Sharia is the bees knees.
Boy's got determination, I'll give him that. Somebody must be paying him by the word because he sure can churn out the apologia. He's a regular fountain of moonbattery. In addition to loving Muhammad's minions, he's also a disciple of the only economic system which in his young mind promotes social justice and equality. Yup, young Gage is a commie. OK, I know you found that hard to believe, him being a product of Washington State and all. But, 'tis true!
Anyhoo, Gage wants us to believe "most" (I think he said 99%) of all Muslims love everybody (what is this, Islamic flower power? -- Ed.) and it was only those 19 misguided freedom fighters who caused all this trouble on 9/11.
So Gage old sport, I'll see your 19 freedom fighters, and raise you these gomers:
And of course he'll say "that's only a handful of guys". They don't represent "real" Islam either. OK, so what about the crowd standing around? They seem to be enjoying the show. I see lots of headscarves on the women; presumably this is a predominantly Muslim crowd?
Where's the Muslim Rick Monday?
Your contention about the Ground Zero mosque is that these are "Americans" building it, right Gage? "Americans" have a right to freedom of worship. So, where are the Americans on that street in NYC Gage? Because I don't see any. I see hatred. Or worse, indifference.
When my grandparents came to this country they were damned proud to be here. That flag meant something special to them. And it means something special to me.
I'm sure that flag means something quite different to young Gage Lawhon. It's a symbol of all that is wrong with the world. Am I right Gage? Do you revere the American flag in the way that my grandparents did? Does that video make your blood boil? Or are you thinking that America isn't so great, and these third world rejects have a "right" to take us down a peg and desecrate Old Glory? "Legitimate grievances" I believe is the term you used.
You don't have to answer that Gage. Your Twitter handle
(Hubris1987)
says it all. Go back to playing World of Warcraft in your mom's basement,
OK? Leave the deep thinking to those of us who've Been There and Done That.

Big Ben, meet Big Mo.
Muslims around the world could be setting their watches to a new time soon when the world's largest clock begins ticking atop a soaring skyscraper in Islam's holiest city of Mecca.
Saudi Arabia hopes the four faces of the new clock, which will loom over Mecca's Grand Mosque from what is expected to be the world's second tallest building, will establish Mecca as an alternate time standard to the Greenwich median.
It boasts four glimmering 46 metre-across (151 feet) faces of high-tech composite tiles, some laced with gold, sitting more than 400 metres (1,320 feet) over the Holy Haram compound.
More than six times larger in diameter than London's famed Big Ben, the clock faces, with the Arabic words "In the Name of Allah" in huge lettering underneath and will be lit with two million LED lights.
Some 21,000 white and green coloured lights, fitted at the top of the clock, will flash to as far as 30 kilometres (18.7 miles) to signal Islam's mandatory five-times daily prayers.
On special Muslim occasions, 16 bands of vertical lights will shoot some 10 kilometres (6.2 miles) up into the sky.
And Big Mo has Big Plans:
"We in Mecca hope to be the world's central time zone, and not just have a clock to look at, to show off," said Mecca resident Hani al-Wajeeh.
The clock reflects a goal by some Muslims to replace the 126-year-old Universal Time standard -- originally called Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) -- with Mecca mean time.
At a conference in Doha in 2008, Muslim clerics and scholars presented "scientific" arguments that Mecca time is the true global meridian. They said that Mecca is the centre of the world and that the Greenwich standard was imposed by the west in 1884.
You know, you could almost take these guys seriously. Almost.
Big Mo is being constructed under the supervision of German engineers.
Here's a hint fellas, if you're gonna declare yourselves the King of Clocks you might want to have the in-house expertise to actually build one on your own. Those Cesium 133 atoms don't count themselves you know.
Oh, who am I kidding. The internal workings are top-secret, but I'm something of a time geek and I've got 5 bucks that says Big Mo won't even be a Stratum One time source.
Of course that might not matter to the time-mutaween. Somewhere in the extensive scientific writings of Mohammed are undoubtedly instructions on the proper Islamic way to measure time. Counting the swishes of a goat's tail is sure to be involved somehow. And when the big man said "jump" it put a whole 'nother spin on leap seconds!
Here's one more tidbit on Big Mo. The lead developer on the project is the Saudi Bin Laden Company. Yup, that Bin Laden. His peeps, anyway.
It's scheduled to be fired up on or about August 12th at the start of Ramadan. Gentlemen, synchronize your sundials!
