Nothing says "Mom and Dad are getting value for the their college tuition dollars" quite like a seminar at the University of South Carolina Upstate entitled How to Be a Lesbian in 10 Days or Less.
Because once you go down the path of Radical Feminism, the crazy comes out of the woodwork.
According to the school's website, theater artist Leigh Hendrix will perform her one-woman show, "How to Be a Lesbian in 10 Days or Less," to kick off the sixth Bodies of Knowledge Symposium and Conference. . . .
Hendrix encourages her audience to shout "I'm a big 'ol dyke!" in a show that is "one part instructional seminar, one part personal story, and one part wacky performance art."
Emphasis on wacky. Which is, of course, a synonym for crazy.
My man Stacy McCain takes this shit seriously — so I don't have to! — and in doing so he makes an excellent point.
Between peer pressure not to be a "homophobe" and feminist rhetoric that celebrates women's sexual aggression as "empowerment," what would be the fate of any college girl who rejects the overtures of a lesbian admirer? All the "rape culture" chatter — "No means no!" — is aimed at demonizing men. Would campus feminists defend your daughter if she complained of being harassed by an obsessed lesbian stalker? Or would they condemn your daughter as a homophobic "hater"?
You know the answer to that one.
Your daughter (and mine) is a Homophobic Hater, even before she leaves the nest for college.
How could she not be, as she boycotts the 17th performance of The Vagina Monologues to be staged this week, and thereby crushes the hopes and dreams of her roommate's cousin's androgynous transgender dog sitter?
Feminism is lesbianism. And if your daughter is not eating at the Y, you are both bigoted enemies of Progress and Equality.
It says so in the Student Handbook.
