Nothing saddens me more than to see well-intentioned people championing the "right" to abortion. Because they have to know what it is. They have to know it's murder. And they don't care. I don't want to believe that proponents of abortion are evil. But I can't help but notice that they turn a blind eye to evil.
Abortion should be "safe." That's their refrain. Safe for whom? Certainly not the child. Almost every abortion results in a dead baby. I imagine if you could ask the baby about that, she'd say it wasn't particularly "safe."
Child molesters have more "rights" today than an unborn baby. Our society has all but disavowed the death penalty as "cruel and unusual." Except for abortion, of course. One death penalty is a Constitutional right. It's a contradiction that is perhaps lost on Roe's cheerleaders.
So here's today's Star-Ledger — Happy Anniversary, Roe.
Hey, let's make a cake! And blow up some balloons too. Throw a party, to celebrate 40 years of legalized infanticide. It's the ultimate in feminist nirvanna, the mothers who eat their young. "Mothers" who are taught to live for themselves, and to ignore the need to nurture future generations. They call it "choice." In reality, it's selfishness.
Bearing a child is the ultimate act of love. And of sacrifice. But our hedonistic society eschews personal sacrifice. And so a woman can discard her inconvenient child in the morning and go out dancing at night.
Today I came across a pro-abortion image that made my skin crawl. There was no blood, no little aborted baby parts, no image of death. Instead it was a photo of Gloria Steinem, smiling, arms raised in a celebratory pose, wearing a t-shirt that read, "I had an abortion." Beneath her it asked, "Do you really need to inconvenience yourself for the next 18 years?"
Where to begin?
As a post-abortive mother of four, this infuriated and disgusted me on many different levels.
Firstly, it rekindles my anger toward the "Women's Liberation" movement that has so emasculated our men and destroyed our society with things like birth control and abortion on demand until a child's day of birth. Why is it that men are afraid to speak up for their children as they drive their child's mother to the abortion mill? Because society has spent the last 40 years telling them that the ultimate display of respect and equality to their female counterparts is the freedom and constitutional right that is killing her child at her simplest whim, as if she were having a tooth or a wart removed. Shut up and let me do what I want.
And going one step further, consider the utter selfishness of the question posed in this graphic. Why inconvenience yourself with a child? Kill it so you can continue your promiscuous lifestyle with no regrets. Tell me, please, the last time you heard a mother say she regretted keeping her child. Women do not regret the children they have; they regret the children they didn't have.
Read the whole thing. Her evidence suggests that post-abortion trauma is very real.
That's feminism's Big Lie. That abortion is just a "choice." Like what to have for dessert. Choose cake, or pudding. Choose motherhood, or not.
Who will weep for the children? Who will mourn the 55,000,000 dead?
I will. And if you don't have a heart of stone, so will you.
