A few random thoughts on last night's VP debate

I watched the VP debate on tape delay because Sophie had a school project that was due and then there was Thursday Night Football. You know, important stuff.

On the other hand, Stacy McCain called it for Ryan before the debate even started. That's one reason he's the Gonzo Reporter Of The Century, doing the job our lame-stream media won't do. Of course it helps that he was right.

It's clear that Biden was advised to be aggressive, to bulldoze, interrupt and filibuster, to treat Ryan with contempt. The astonishing thing (or, maybe not) is how moderator Martha Raddatz is enabling that strategy.

Martha Raddatz is a partisan tool. Her questioning of Ryan bordered on sneering. And interjecting that gotcha abortion zinger at the end, then hounding Ryan about his answer, was completely unprofessional. But par for the course. Biden needed a solid "win" issue to fire up the progbot feminut base and she handed one to him on a silver platter.

Then again, Biden did manage to insult millions of devout Catholics by claiming "my religion defines who I am." Really? He must thing we're all idiots. Look up Canon 915 Joe, and then get back to us.

And the smirking. VP Smirky McSmirkerton and his malarkey detector! He's had a lot of practice… Just goes to show you though, the White House is laughing at your problems.

Were you laughing? I wasn't. This shit's serious. Guy oughta show some respect. If not for Mr. Ryan, then for the 23 million Americans who are out of work. Didn't Joe recently say the middle class has been hosed for the past 4 years? Who's been running the show all that time Joe?

But when you've got nothing, you bloviate, obfuscate, equivocate, and prevaricate.

Biden said someone who makes 50K a year pays more in taxes than Mitt Romney. Math #fail Joe. Romney paid $4.3 million in taxes last year, that's like a gazillion times more than your mythical 47 percenter's entire paycheck. That guy making 50K? He's not the issue Joe, nobody is going to tax him into oblivion. Well, except you and Obama when Taxmageddon hits on January 1st.

Mitt Romney's gonna do his best to make sure that doesn't happen.

Somebody buy Joe Biden a map — Syria might be "a completely different country" from Libya, but it sure as hell ain't 5 times bigger.

Benghazi. Biden tried very hard to deflect that one. Threw the intelligence community under the bus. Then not 5 minutes later he assured us that those same intelligence dudes had the Iran situation completely under control. So which is it? They can't see actual terrorists killing our Ambassador while watching it happen live on CNN, but they've got super-duper x-ray vision to peer directly into the bowels of Iran's nuclear weapons facilities?

Gee, I seem to remember another president who relied on crappy intelligence and Biden et al vilified him for it. What was that guy's name again?

You know how I know Biden lost the debate? Two ways. The Star-Ledger is running a "who won" poll. It's currently at Ryan 56%, Biden 44%. If the liberal echo chamber in New Jersey thinks Biden didn't win, well, Biden didn't win.

And second? My Obamabot facebook friends are silent. Except for the anti-Mormon bigot. She's posting idiotically mendacious graphics like a maniacal banshee. More than 100 of them, all night long. She didn't even take time to sleep. That's some seriously deranged desperation, like she needs to rhythmically reinforce her devotion to Dear Leader, otherwise doubt might creep in, take root, and destroy her entire house of cards.

Ride right through them, they're demoralized as hell!
