In the end, his vote for gay "marriage" sealed David Weprin's fate
I keep hearing how mainstream America is ready to embrace gay "marriage." But you know what? It's a stinker of an issue. David Weprin found that out when his support for the redefinition of marriage became a deciding factor in his loss on Tuesday. Make no mistake, NY-9 has lots of religious voters, and they will never countenance a direct assault on the Word of God.
Sure the pundits will spin his loss. Dissatisfaction with Obama, economic issues, lackluster support for Israel, they all played a part. But when push comes to shove the typical Jewish voter is likely to hold his nose and vote for the Democrat. Unless there's a religious component. And you can't get more anti-religion than same-sex "marriage." By denying 6,000 years of Judeo-Christian tradition David Weprin sealed his electoral fate.
Politicians on this side of the Hudson should take heed. If you vote to
redefine marriage in New Jersey, we'll vote to put you out of a job.
