I guess it's time for President Golfpants to make another one of his patented "pivots" to the economy. Because people still ain't buyin' what he's shovelin'.
Consumer confidence unexpectedly dropped in March to a four-month low, indicating household spending may be slow to pick up from a weather-related setback earlier this year.
The Thomson Reuters/University of Michigan preliminary index of sentiment fell to 79.9 this month from 81.6 in February. The median estimate in a Bloomberg survey of economists called for the measure to increase to 82.
Consumers surveyed were more pessimistic about the outlook for the economy, indicating bigger payroll gains that lead to faster wage growth are needed to propel spending.
And lo, Obama so loved the poor that he made millions more of them.
How? By pushing job-killing feel-good liberal agitprop.
And by standing firm on Obamacare, even after his union buddies discovered it'll reduce wages by as much as $5 per hour.
Meanwhile, he's dumping billions more into green energy boondoggles, which unfortunately doesn't help anyone find a job. But it sure does reward his campaign bundlers, so there's that.
Meet the new Recovery Summer, same as the old Recovery Summer.
I don't know if I can make it through three more years of this. Can you?
