Technorati is indexing me again! They had to make a code change to fix the problem with my blog getting stuck in their queue. Kudos to Eric M. and the guys at GetSatisfaction.com where they have "community powered support for Technorati".
Well, they're "sorta, kinda" indexing me anyway. It's on a 24 hour tape delay or something. So I never get picked up by Memeorandum because they pull from Technorati and Technorati has stuff I posted yesterday listed as my latest blog entry. And that's old news to Memeorandum.
Wankers.

Recent headlines from my Posterous Blog:
Here I am on my brand spanking new Dell XPS 420, connected via the DL VPN, using PowerTerm 525 to log in to Ceres. It only took 2.5 hours from opening the box to having a working configuration, complete with networking.
The even cooler part is, I'm now using a Sony Bravia 40" KDL-40V3000 1080p LCD HDTV (Help, acronym overload! - Ed) as my monitor. It's awesome; in fact, it's beyond awesome, going upstairs to get stuff off of my old PC feels like going back to a VT100 after using X Windows. (Hold on a sec there chief, isn't PowerTerm a VT100 emulator? - Ed Aw, shaddup! You know what I mean!)
I got these new toys because Sophie's PC died. I had set her up with an old Pentium 3 box that was laying around; it was good enough to run Firefox and let her connect to Webkinz.com. About 2 weeks ago the power supply crapped out. Jack said it wasn't worth fixing. Sophie begged me to buy her a new computer, but I told her she could have my old one and I'd buy a new PC for me. Every day since then she's nagged me asking when I'll be setting up her new PC.
FedEx delivered my new system today. Naturally I first had to deinstall the old PC and move it upstairs for Sophie before I could even think about unpacking the new one. She was so excited she hardly ate dinner, and when it was ready she bolted up there and immediately logged on to Webkinz. I had to drag her away from the keyboard when it was time for bed.
I've only got the basics configured so far, networking (so I can see Sophie's new
PC and Tammy's laptop), printing (so Tammy can work from home tomorrow),
Firefox with Foxmarks (so I can have all my bookmarks), and (of course)
PowerTerm (so I can blog). The rest will have to wait until tomorrow.
