Technorati is indexing me again! They had to make a code change to fix the problem with my blog getting stuck in their queue. Kudos to Eric M. and the guys at GetSatisfaction.com where they have "community powered support for Technorati".
Well, they're "sorta, kinda" indexing me anyway. It's on a 24 hour tape delay or something. So I never get picked up by Memeorandum because they pull from Technorati and Technorati has stuff I posted yesterday listed as my latest blog entry. And that's old news to Memeorandum.

My 9Rules Politics counterpart PunditMom never stops carrying water for the Obamabots. But this week she outdoes herself. See, she's peeved that some folks might not see the wisdom in Michelle Obama's Excellent Spanish Adventure. It's just "a little private mother-daughter time" dontcha know.
And if you've got a problem with that? You're a raaaaacist!
I see, the GOP can stall extension of unemployment benefits, urge the continuation of the UNPAID-for Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest 1% of the country, and dismiss 119 golf "fundraisers" attended by the GOP leader of the House in the last ... 365 days ... but it's Michelle and Sasha Obama's trip to Spain that sends a "let them eat cake" message to the American people.
I'm really sick of how the press willingly repeats the most racist memes from the right wing.
Oh yeah, comparing Michelle Obama to Marie Antoinette is definitely racist. Sheesh, that moniker has now absolutely lost all meaning.
At least she didn't try to sell us on the "grieving friend" bullshit.
Have no fear my right-wing blogospherical friends. There is a more apt comparison. One supplied by a member of PunditMom's kaffee-klatch:
I totally agree!! Their vacation is a reflection of their current lifestyle. Getting mad at them is like getting mad at Paris Hilton for her lifestyle.
How's that for "world-class tone-deafness"? Michelle Obama is entitled to live large because Paris Hilton lives large too.
At least Paris Hilton never tried to tell my kids what to eat.
Speaking of what to eat, it's a menu to make Paris Hilton proud:
Ramen noodles and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the little people and sea bass tartar, strawberry gazpacho and sardines followed by a main course of lobster with seaweed risotto for M'Lady.
At a cost of between $500 and $2500 per night, Mrs. Fearless Reader is sleeping in Marabella, Spain's Hotel Villa Padierna, one of the world's Top Ten hotels, while the rest of us toss and turn in our beds worried about our jobs and the declining economy.
OK, aside from the food, PundidMom says travel is good for the soul.
"Isn't it a good thing to have the First Children see the world?"
If I could swing it, I'd want any children to travel internationally sooner than I had to be able to see first-hand how the rest of the world lives.
Because "the rest of the world" always closes off a whole beach just for a fourth grader and her friends:
And her critics will be further annoyed when they learn that the president's wife had a Spanish beach closed off today so that she, her daughter and their entourage could go for a swim.
Spanish police cleared off a stretch of beach at the Villa Padierna Hotel in Marbella after the Obamas had finished a busy day of sightseeing.
And what an entourage it is! Initial reports of 40 friends may have been exaggerated, but Pat Austin certainly hasn't needed 60 hotel rooms for any of her vacations!
Okay. Six friends. So why 60 rooms? Or 50? Is that misinformation, too? I understand we have to have security and secret service, but 50 rooms? Can't they double up?!
No Pat, they can't double up. Hell, Michelle needs a whole suite just for her ego.
When Paris Hilton is your idea of "the rest of the world" you have to keep up appearances.
