Technorati and Me
Technorati is indexing me again! They had to make a code change to fix the problem with my blog getting stuck in their queue. Kudos to Eric M. and the guys at GetSatisfaction.com where they have "community powered support for Technorati".
Well, they're "sorta, kinda" indexing me anyway. It's on a 24 hour tape delay or something. So I never get picked up by Memeorandum because they pull from Technorati and Technorati has stuff I posted yesterday listed as my latest blog entry. And that's old news to Memeorandum.

Stock up on firewood, US Northeast is in for bone-chilling winter
Global warming is going to take a time-out this winter in the U.S. Northeast. Temperatores are forecasted to be lower than they have been since the 1990s.
"Weak El Ninos are notorious for cold and snowy weather on the Eastern seaboard," Rogers said in a Bloomberg Television interview from Washington. "About 70 percent to 75 percent of the time a weak El Nino will deliver the goods in terms of above-normal heating demand and cold weather. It's pretty good odds."
Hedge-fund managers and other large speculators increased their net-long positions, or bets prices will rise, in New York heating oil futures in the week ended Sep. 22, according to U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission data.
I'm going long on firewood. And gloves. And snowblower gas. Last year I ran out of snowblower gas at a really inconvenient time. (Is there ever a good time to run out of snowblower gas? - Ed.)
I'd better check my supply of single-malt scotch too. I definitely don't want to run out of that!
