"There are a variety of tactical considerations as to why these rifles are issued, and for their potential use. But we will not engage in a public dialogue in the media to detail our operational procedures."

I can smell the arrogance from here. Fishing without a license is a serious offense, and don't you dare forget that, punk.

Besides, that kid on a quad needs to feel the fear. And the fusilade from an M-14 is just the thing to keep him in line, unless, you know, you're sane.

Sadly though the militarization of our police will never end. The cops like their shiny toys. And they especially like being able to lord them over us peons, who aren't even allowed to own an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle any more. The Pentagon is happy to oblige, since they're got warehouses full of esoteric weaponry in search of a home.

Old and busted: To protect, and serve.
New hotness: Gun control for thee, but not for me!

Gee, I feel safer already.

Chris Christie vetoes pointless pig crate bill

No NJ farmers use pig gestation crates. But that didn't stop our state's grandstanding Democrats from passing a bill to ban them here, and then daring Chris Christie to veto it.

Your move, poseurs.

Hillary's minions want to embarrass Christie. So they ginned up a bill that was more popular in Hollywood than in the Garden State.

Still, the vetoed bill had attracted the attention of Hollywood celebrities. The Humane Society organized a campaign with letters from stars like Danny DeVito, Bob Barker and Bill Maher; Jon Stewart mocked Christie's planned veto from his perch on "The Daily Show."

Imagine a universe where anyone with a brain cared about what Bill Maher or Jon Stewart said. Then meet State Senator Ray Lesniak, the Democrats' point man on this gotcha.

If only Lesniak could "mobilize" people to solve our actual problems. You know, small things like crime, poverty, unemployment, and high taxes. Nope. Pigs. Pigs are what moves him to action. Theoretical pigs at that, given how, like I said, nobody in New Jersey actually uses gestation crates.

It's theater of the absurd, playing out to distract us from Lesniak's team's policy failures. The Democrat brand took a beating earlier this month. Chuck Schumer is breaking ranks to lambaste Obamacare. The #Ferguson "protests" have exposed the dark underbelly of Obama's race pimping friends. And the discovery of Lois Lerner's "lost" emails threatens to derail the carefully crafted narrative of the IRS supposedly targeting liberal organizations too.

People have finally figured out that the Democrats are full of, er, manure. And Chris Christie isn't going to wallow in their slop.

Which office does Darren Wilson go to to get his reputation back?

Last night when I heard that the Grand Jury cleared Officer Darren Wilson of all charges in the shooting death of "gentle giant" Michael Brown I immediately had one thought — like Ray Donovan, which office does Darren Wilson go to to get his reputation back?

Not Barack Obama's Oval Office. Dear Leader famously told the Ferguson mob to "stay the course." And the mob wants Darren Wilson's head.

Not Eric Holder's Justice Department. They're marching down the path to double jeopardy, finalizing federal "civil rights" charges against Officer Wilson.

Not the newsrooms of our media barons. I made the mistake of listening to George Stephanopolous this morning, parroting the Brown family's attorney blaming "the system" for failing to indict Wilson. "The family hoped 'the system' would work." Followed by, "'the system' let them down."

Here's a newsflash George. "The system" worked. Just like it did when O.J. Simpson was found "not guilty" by a jury of his peers. You may not like the result, but we are a nation of laws^* and it's time for everyone to remember that.

(^*Arguably the funniest thing I heard all night, and a welcome respite from watching Buffalo put the beatdown on my hapless Jets.)

Instead, we get "justice" through … looting. And, of course, rioting. Because smashing a window to grab a bag of chips and a couple of forties is exactly like courageously refusing to sit in the back of the bus.

The real irony? "Protesters" robbing Ferguson Market and Liquor, again, even though it was plastered with pro-Michael-Brown posters. The mob doesn't care who's livelihood they destroy. And our supposed "leaders" play them like pawns.

I'm thinking, if you wanted to set race relations back 50 years, you couldn't do a better job than the organizers behind these "spontaneous" demonstrations.

Oh, wait, read this statement from the Congressional Black Caucus. Then weep for America.

Obama's Thanksgiving suprise: 3,415 new regulations to make your life more miserable

While you're sitting down to Thanksgiving dinner this Thursday please remember to take a minute and bow your head in praise of Dear Leader and his latest salvo in the econuts' never-ending war on your wallet.

He's making the food you're eating more expensive.

He's ensuring the electricity you're using will be more expensive too.

And if you blink you'll miss the part where he just designated the puddles in your driveway as official "Waters Of The United States."

Yes, to combat the chimera of Climate Change, everything you do needs 3,415 more regulations, 3,415 more restrictions, and 3,415 more bureaucratic fiefdoms fecklessly fulminating for the fulfillment of Mother Gaia's global gloom jamboree.

Because they wouldn't dump this stuff in our laps on the eve of a major holiday if they thought we'd be cheering for it.

Electricity rates will "necessarily" skyrocket.

Or, you'll freeze in the dark.

A more pressing EPA rule set to be finalized is the so-called coal ash rule for coal-fired power plants. A final rule will be issued by Dec. 19, and could be bad news for the power sector, which will bear the brunt of $20.3 billion in compliance costs.

Of course by "bear the brunt," Obama means, pass those costs on to you.

What? You thought renewable energy was competively priced? Bwhahahaha!

Anything to make your life more difficult! Your birdbath is now regulated by the EPA, and some ecotwit is undoubtedly planning to sue you over it.

Whatever you do, don't cry. Your tears are "waters of the U.S." too.

#TenBuckFriday, the Oust Mary Landrieu Edition

Ten Buck Friday was a success in seeing a majority of Republicans elected to the Senate and Harry Reid being relegated back to the Recycling Bin of History.

But there is one Senate race still undecided in Louisiana and that's our man Bill Cassidy against Mary "I live in Washington, D.C. but I list my residence as my parents' basement in LA so I can vote here" Landrieu.

A runoff means more campaigning, more advertising and more expenses. While it is true that the DSCC has officially withdrawn their ad buys for their dubious candidate, I'm sure there will be a host of surrogates trying to raise money for poor Mary, so she doesn't have to go out and get a real job. (And maybe really move in with her parents this time!)

So, I'm sure there will be tons of breathless fundraising emails about how Republicans eat babies and that's why the want to ban all forms of birth control, and, BTW, did you know they want to replace the national anthem with Tony Orlando's "Knock Three Times"? Crazy!

All of the sudden, after sitting on her hands for six years, Mary Landfill is a crusader for the Keystone XL pipeline. Not for getting it passed necessarily, but for bring it to a vote that she hopes will not sustain her president's veto.

Let me congratulate all of you for kicking Harry Reid's keister to the curb. Well done! And, unlike most politicians, I hate to keep coming back to you for money, so I promise, this is the last time!

Think of the nice warm schadenfreude feeling you got when Harry Reid was demoted. Now think of how warm and fuzzy you'll feel going into the holidays, if we give Mary Landrieu her just desserts as well?

Let's go the the well one last time before the holidays start taking up our time and energy, before the December runoff, and give an early present to Bill Cassidy (and yourself) of a larger majority in the US Senate.

Think how much happier Barack Obama will be at the prospect of governing in a bi-partisan manner. Actually, think of how much damage from the last six years needs to be undone over Barack Obama's vetoes and objections.

Just ten more bucks. It's what we honorary Koch brothers do.

The fate of America cannot be the fate of Rome. For surely as the Catiline conspiracy begat Ceasar, Ceasar's hubris begat the barbarian hordes. Obama's lawlessness will do no less to America. These "immigrants" to which he so desparately panders, they do not seek to become Americans or to join in our great journey. Rather they demand that America become the countries they fled, and that we who are here must adapt their culture and their language and their ways, sacrificing our own on the altar of political correctness.

And America as we knew her will cease to exist.

This imperial president must be stopped! America is not a dictatorship, no matter how much Obama wants to pretend he's Caesar. He has no regard for our laws, or for our Constitution, or for the people. He looks only to himself, and to the abrogration of power.

He has no right to rule by decree. He has no authority that is not enumerated in Article II. And yet he persists in flagrantly disregarding the separation of powers established by our forefathers, and thus perpetrating a crisis upon our republic.

There is but one remedy. Impeachment. Now. Or our children will be slaves.

New Jersey is the nation's #1 magnet for illegal aliens

It's an invasion. And New Jersey is at the front of the front lines. Over the past 4 years we've added more illegal aliens than any other state. Please, hold your applause.

Most of the new arrivals are from India and Ecuador.

Why they're choosing our fair state isn't clear. But a massive influx of semi-skilled, low-income, non-English-speaking undocumented residents has got to be putting a strain on our already weakened economy. Not to mention the public assistance resources they undoubtedly require, and dare I say it, demand as their birthright.

Add in Dear Leader's determination to unconstitutionally legitimize their disregard for our laws and I can't help but wonder how America As We Knew It survives this assault.

Behind the Net Neutrality push, the FCC's plan to tax the internet

Why are Barack Obama and his cronies on the FCC so eager to reclassify internet service providers as "common carriers" like the phone company?

Money. Lots and lots of money. In the form of FCC Universal Service Fund and Subscriber Line Charge taxes. "Common Carriers" pay these taxes, which they pass along to you as line items on your phone bill. Internet companies don't pay, yet, and as we all know, the Democrats never met a tax they couldn't raise.

So the guys deciding on Net Neutrality are in the enviable position of profiting from the implementation of Net Neutrality. And they've got Big Plans for spending all that newly found revenue.

There it is. "Net Neutrality" is just another way for the government to take money from you and give it to someone else. They're busy pretending Comcast wants to charge you more for internet "fast lanes" when in reality it's the FCC who'll be reaching into your pocket.

Here's Ted Cruz, sounding presidential, making the case against Net Neutrality, in words even a Democrat can understand.

ObamaNet. It's ObamaPhones for the internet. Because what we really need is yet another entitlement program, staffed by unionized bureaucrats beholden to their Democratic Party masters, apportioning technological spoils in exchange for votes.

Just say "no" to Net Neutrality; keep the internet tax free. You'll be glad you did.

Obamacare is now less popular than toe fungus, which by the way, isn't covered

Fewer Americans than ever like Obamacare.

And more Americans than ever hate Obamacare.

Can I get an "amen?"

As the Affordable Care Act's second open enrollment period begins, 37% of Americans say they approve of the law, one percentage point below the previous low in January. Fifty-six percent disapprove, the high in disapproval by one point.

The more you know…

Americans were slightly more positive than negative about the law around the time of the 2012 election, but they have consistently been more likely to disapprove than approve of the law in all surveys that have been conducted since then. Approval has been in the low 40% or high 30% range after a noticeable dip that occurred in early November 2013. This was shortly after millions of Americans received notices that their current policies were being canceled, which was at odds with President Barack Obama's pledge that those who liked their plans could keep them. The president later said, by way of clarification, that Americans could keep their plans if those plans didn't change after the ACA was passed.

And we now know it was all lies anyway.

"We all knew" Obama was lying. But he lied for our own good! And so Sandra Fluke could get free birth control, of course.

Americans don't like it when politicians lie to us. We also don't like it when liberal political hacks call us stupid.

Turns out, we aren't as stupid as they think we are.

They passed the bill. We found out what's in it. And we don't like what we found. Not one bit. Obamacare is a fraud. The sooner it goes away, the better. And given that virtually no one approves of it anymore, the path to its repeal just got a whole lot easier.

Obama flushes $3 billion of our tax dollars into a Third World climate change slush fund

Climate change, it's not about saving the planet. It's about wealth transfer.

By "adapt" they mean, of course, line their pockets with our money.

In Obama's lefty worldview, it's like reparations for colonialism, only better.

And $3 billion is merely the down payment.

At a 2009 climate change summit in Copenhagen, then-Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton pledged that by 2020 the United States would help mobilize $100 billion, through a combination of public aid and private investments, to flow annually from rich countries to poor countries to help the poor economies deal with climate change.

$100 billion dollars of our money. Annually. Flowing into the pockets of Third World shithole dictators everwhere! It'll certainly change their, uh, "climate." For the better, I'm sure.

But I guarantee it won't do Thing One to change the weather.

Obama's executive amnesty, gateway to Obamacare for illegal aliens

HHS Secretary Sylvia Burwell let the cat out of the bag.

Hey, he's "going big," right? What's bigger than rewriting Obamacare on the fly to include eligibility for illegal aliens? Laws mean whatever His Imperial Majesty says they mean! And he means to remake America, by any means necessary.

This year's projected Obamacare enrollment numbers have already been revised downward. What better way to bump those numbers back up than to add millions of illegal aliens to the mix?

Besides, the more people who are dependent on Obamacare, and its taxpayer subsidies, the harder it becomes for John Roberts to follow the letter of the law and invalidate those subsidies.

Immigrants already make up the vast majority of Obamacare's Medicaid expansion. Add in the DREAMers and Medicaid gets even bigger. Government handouts for everybody!

From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs.

Here's Commissar Burwell, already giving immigration enforcement a wink and a nod:

"Everyone should come on [to the Obamacare exchanges]," Burwell continued, "And folks should not be scared, because this is not information…no questions will be asked, this is not an immigration issue."

Remember when they had to boot off thousands of Obamacare customers who couldn't validate their immigration status? Yeah, they don't want to do that again. Ever.

So, they won't.

Because he's got a pen dontcha know.

Fortunately we've got the Constitution.

In a recent op-ed in Politico, Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., said Congress would stop Obama from taking executive action by adding language explicitly barring money from being used for that purpose. "Congress has the power of the purse. The President cannot spend a dime unless Congress appropriates it," Sessions wrote. He also pointed out that similar language in the past has prevented the president from closing the Guantanamo Bay prison camp.

Obama: If you like your internet, you can keep your internet

Despite the shellacking they took in last week's elections, the progressive power-grab continues unabated. Obama's FEC is already debating how to regulate what you say on the internet. Now he's demanding FCC regulation of what you can see on the internet too.

Back in 1934 the internet was merely a gleam in Al Gore's father's eye. But the FCC was doing a bang-up job regulating its phone company predecessor — AT&T. You could have any phone you wanted, so long as it was a black rotary-dial desk phone. You could call anywhere you wanted, at $8 per minute for long distance. You could even get a mobile phone.

Ah, the good old days!

Like the telephone companies of old, broadband providers would be required to file a "tariff" at the commission, meaning they would submit mountains of paperwork and ask the government to approve the prices they intend to charge for services. The bureaucrats would then consider whether the prices are fair. FCC bureaucrats would also hold sway over plans to expand or build digital networks. Under such conditions, who would invest to build the next generation of broadband technologies?

Let's have a show of hands? Who wants to trade their iPhone 6 for a 1946 Western Electric model 41A?

Anyone?

Didn't think so.

It took deregulation of AT&T to give us the phone and internet choices we have today. So why would Obama want to put it all back under the government's bureaucratic thumb?

Control. The progessives want to control what you say, see, and do. The internet is already "neutral," anyone can log in, anyone can create content, and anyone can view anything.

Statists don't like that.

So they create straw men, obviously ridiculous arguments designed to sway an unwary public into accepting their supposedly benevolent hegemony.

Comcast might prevent you from accessing Google!

Time Warner could slow down Netflix!

Trust me, these doomsday scenarios are pure fantasy. Comcast and Time Warner do not want to face the wrath of their subscribers. Just look at the hullabaloo that already occurs when FCC-regulated TV channels demand higher subscription fees from cable operators, and the cable operators turn them off. Consumers complain, because FCC "must carry" regulations interfere with the free market and the end result is higher prices for cable TV.

The internet doesn't need the FCC telling them what to pipe into your home.

You should get to decide that, not lobbyists and bureaucrats.

And if you want to pay Netflix, and if Netflix wants to pay Time Warner to give them a faster path into your home, why is that anybody's business but yours?

The idea that the internet has always treated all content equally is a bald-faced lie. Internet operators discriminate every day. They have to. Some data is more important than others. The concept is known as QoS — Quality of Service. Without it, the internet would be unusable.

Asking Netflix to pay for a connection to the internet is no different from asking you to pay for a connection. But Net Neutrality mavens believe Netflix should get a free ride. Why? I dunno. Maybe Netflix has great lobbyists, or maybe Netflix hires cool kidz and lets them play XBox all day. Whatever the reason, the progressives are insistent that Netflix, and all the other content providers, should get a free path directly into your PC.

I happen to have some experience with running a network and delivering content. Many years ago, before home broadband, there was dialup. And my day job set up a dialup service for insurance agents to access policy and claims information electronically.

It took the agents about 15 minutes to discover they could also use the dialup service to download pornography. Lots and lots and lots of pornography. It got to the point where the pornography ate up all the available bandwidth (download speed) we had. And thus no insurance data was able to get through.

I blocked the pornagraphy sites. Yeah, that's right, I violated Net Neutrality. Because the people paying the bills wanted to get what they were paying for. And, I know you're going to find this hard to believe, the pornography sites weren't willing to pay me.

Now imagine Obama's FCC telling me I couldn't do that. Imagine me being forced to carry all the pornography the insurance agents wanted. Because right there is the essence of Net Neutrality. Everything is "equal." It's also the core maxim of communism by the way, except you quickly learn that under communism some people are more "equal" than others. So it will go with FCC regulation of the internet. The government will pick the winners (and the losers).

Here's a tip, when the government is involved, the winners never include you.

Get ready for the new and improved Healthcare.gov, now with "waiting rooms"

It's T minus 5 days and counting for the debut of Healthcare.gov V2.0. On November 15th the second wave of Obamacare signups goes live, and this time HHS officials are confident that they're almost ready. But in case they're not, you can pass the time in our of their snazzy new digital waiting rooms.

The doctor won't see you now. And neither will the website.

Their preparations certainly don't inspire confidence, eh? They know how many enrollees to expect. They've had a year to get it right. And yet, "waiting rooms." No doubt complete with year-old magazines and bad vending machine coffee.

Oh, by the way, they forgot to send you the instructions.

Ever notice how the Obamabots never seem to have trouble sending you their fund-raising emails? But critical information on Obamacare? That they can't get straight.

Maybe they'll post the instructions in the waiting rooms.

Kaboom! SCOTUS will decide whether healthcare.gov enrollees are eligible for subsidies

Just when you thought this week's good news couldn't get any better…

The Supreme Court has snatched the Halbig case out from the clutches of Obama's lefty-packed D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals.

How big a deal is this?

HUGE.

As in, earth-shattering kaboom huge.

The Supreme Court, moving back into the abiding controversy over the Affordable Care Act, agreed early Friday afternoon to decide how far the federal government can extend its program of subsidies to buyers of health insurance. At issue is whether the program of tax credits applies only in the consumer marketplaces set up by sixteen states, and not at federally operated sites in thirty-four states.

Some of this stuff is real inside baseball, but it's important, so bear with me. SCOTUS only intervenes when there are split decisions at the circuit court level. In King v Burwell the Fourth Circuit upheld the subsidies. But at the same time, a three-judge panel of the D.C. Circuit court disagreed.

It was a Category Five ObamaCare tornado in July when a three-judge panel on the D.C. Circuit agreed with conservatives and ruled that the text of the O-Care statute does not allow subsidies for people who bought their policies on the federal exchange, i.e. Healthcare.gov. Only if you bought your policy through an exchange created by a state are you eligible for help from Uncle Sam. That ruling is a nuclear bomb for the White House, obviously, because it would mean that the vast majority of new enrollees in O-Care would suddenly be on the hook for the full cost of their premiums. That would prove too expensive for many of those people, which would mean lots of dropped coverage and total chaos in the insurance industry.

It looked like Obamacare was heading back to the Supreme Court, when six weeks later the full D.C. Circuit decided to rehear the case en banc, throwing the three-judge panel's ruling out the window.

Why would they do that? Because Obama packed the D.C. circuit court with a legion of far-left ideologues guaranteed to rule his way. You can thank Harry Reid nuking the Senate for helping him do that. Normally republicans would have been able to filibuster the most radical nominees, but they were rendered powerless by Reid.

The Halbig challenge to Obamacare was, apparently, dead.

Until today. SCOTUS' action cuts the en banc D.C. circuit out of the loop, sending Obama and Reid's court-packing scheme up in flames, and putting the future of Obamacare very much in doubt.

Why?

Because if SCOTUS was going to rule for the subsidies they didn't have to do anything. The D.C. circuit court would do it for them, reversing Halbig and concurring with the Fourth Circuit's King decision. No circuit split means no SCOTUS review, and no SCOTUS review means the subsidies remain intact.

The only reason for SCOTUS to review King is if there's a good chance they will reverse the ruling. Ergo the likelyhood is extremely high that the Supreme Court will enforce the clear wording of the law, and render the subsidies in all but 16 states null and void.

Without those subsidies, Obamacare is dead.

Are you still with me? Because here's where it gets fun.

The GOP won the Senate on Tuesday partly by vigorously campaigning against Obamacare. There is a strong desire among many republicans to repeal the law. But Obama would never sign a repeal bill, right?

So suppose SCOTUS neuters the law, and effectively repeals it for them. Then, instead of sending Obama a repeal, the GOP sends him a replacement, one that perhaps restores subsidies for federal exchange enrollees, but also eliminates all of the law's onerous and questionably-Constitutional provisions, and includes the free-market reforms we've been trying to enact for years.

Does Obama dare veto it?

There are so many great takeaways from Tuesday's GOP landslide

For 8 years Harry Reid was the ultimate obstructionist, blocking every Republican amendment, refusing to hold votes on legislation passed by the House, and nuking the filibuster to get Obama's radical judicial nominees confirmed to the DC Court of Appeals.

So naturally, after he got his ass kicked Tuesday, he wants to "work together" with Republicans.

Hey Harry, in the immortal words of Dick Cheney, go fuck yourself.

I hope Mitch McConnell assigns Reid an office in the basement, next to the trash compactor. And then promptly forgets that Dingy Harry even exists.

The American people didn't give the GOP a Senate majority so we could work with Democrats. They could have elected more Democrats if that's what they really wanted. Nope, they gave us the majority to stymie Obama at every turn until 2016 when we can get ourselves a Real President again.

And nobody is freaking out about that more than the climate change clowns. Upcoming Senate Environment and Public Works Committee Chairman James Inhofe (R-OK) doesn't buy their globull warming bullshit. He's not gonna give the EPA a blank check. He'll almost certainly pass legislation enabling the long overdue Keystone XL pipeline project. And when it comes to oil and gas exploration, he'll be all "drill, baby, drill" on their anti-energy eco-obstructionism.

No more Solyndras. No more green energy boondoggles. Maybe even a return to sensible coal usage, because cheap electricity is good for the economy.

Senator Inhofe, I have one simple request. Please give us back our incandescent lightbulbs. Please?

All of the GOP candidates who won Tuesday ran on repealing Obamacare. So repeal it. Make Obama squirm. More importantly, make Democrats running in 2016 squirm too.

Obama won't sign a repeal. So let's defund as much of this atrocity as we can. And push free-market health care ideas — association health plans, real choice instead of mandated coverages so folks can only buy insurance they actually need, and most of all, tort reform.

Along with defenestrating Obamacare the GOP Senate needs to rein in this lawless president's Executive Order excesses. Yeah, amnesty for illegal aliens, I'm looking at you. We ran on stopping amnesty, and stop it we must. Everywhere that amnesty was an issue on Tuesday, the pro-amnesty candidate lost. That's a mandate.

You what's really dead now? The "war on women." The GOP wave carried more women into Congress than at any time in the history of forever. Young women, women of color, women veterans. Republican women are empowered, passionate, dedicated, and ready to help move America in the right direction. They don't think with their vaginas. And that makes feminists sad.

I like it when feminists are sad. I like it even more when they lose elections.

Speaking of losing elections. Hillary Clinton was the kiss of death. Every candidate she campaigned for? They lost. Every. Single. One. The entire Arkansas congessional delegation is now in Republican hands. Wendy Davis crashed and burned in Texas, and her old state senate seat went to a Tea Partyer.

So when I heard Mara Liasson spinning these defeats by saying all those candidates now "owe her" I had to burst out laughing. A bunch of losers "owe" Hillary. Yippee! With that kind of support, how could she not win the White House?

Meanwhile, the good news for Republicans just keeps rolling in. Martha Coakley conceded in Massachusetts. The Bay State has a Republican governor again. And nationwide the GOP controls more statehouses than ever before.

In fact, the GOP now has more representation at the state and local level than in nearly a century. The wave even reached into deep blue NJ, with a total GOP sweep of my local town council.

Yessiree, no matter how you slice it, the voters firmly repudiated progressive policies. The rain tax gave Maryland a Republican governor. Intrusive regulation and burdensome taxes do not make people happy.

Republicans need to capitalize on these sentiments. Yes, get stuff done. But, and this is key, get our stuff done. Show America that our ideas are superior to Obama's. If the last 6 years teaches us anything, it teaches us that progressive politics leads to misery, despair, and weakness. America can, and must, return to her rightful place as a shining city upon a hill whose beacon light guides freedom-loving people everywhere.

Now is the time. This is our destiny. We have the tools. We must not fail.

Michelle Obama promises black voters a fried chicken in every pot

Please tell me this isn't degrading, and racist.

Nevermind that black unemployment is higher than the national average.

Nevermind that black children are trapped in failing inner city schools.

Just vote for Democrats, then reward yourself with fried chicken. And collard greens. Maybe wash it down with a Colt 45.

And if by some chance you're a black pastor who dares to wander off the plantation and endorse, gasp!, a Republican? Yeah, you need to die. Because it's not racism when Michelle Obama uses blatantly racist stereotypes, and it's not lynching when black Democrats threaten to kill a black man who thinks for himself.

I wonder, does FLOTUS' dispensation extend to folks in Utah who are voting for Mia Love?

For Caldwell council, elect John Cascarano and Kris Brown! They're on the Dassing team for a reason, they're committed to keeping Caldwell's small town flavor while moving us strategically into the future.

For Essex County District 4 Freeholder, elect Richard Leonard! Because Lenny Luciano couldn't find Caldwell on a map, and Joe D already has 8 other lapdogs on the board.

Speaking of Joe D, does he really deserve an unprecedented 4th term as County Executive? Why, because he hasn't built enough monuments to his own munificence yet? Retire the double-dipping campaign-finance-skirting grand poobah of mini golf. Please.

On Question #1 (bail "reform"), vote NO. Preserve your constitutioal right to bail. Allowing a judge to arbitrarily lock you up indefinitely with no bail is just about as un-American as you can get.

On Question #2 ("open space"), vote NO. More than 30% of New Jersey is already off-limits to development. That's more land than in the entire state of Delaware. And every dollar constitutionally dedicated to feel-good boondoggles is one less dollar we can use to reduce our debt, balance the pension system, or lower our taxes.

Nationally, it's time to send Dingy Harry Reid back to the back benches. You have been paying attention to Ten Buck Fridays, right?

Every GOP Senate pickup counts! That means your votes are needed for David Perdue in Georgia, Dan Sullivan in Alaska, Joni Ernst in Iowa, Tom Cotton in Arkansas, Thom Tillis in North Carolina, Bill Cassidy in Louisiana, Cory Gardner in Colorado, Scott Brown in New Hampshire, Ed Gillespie in Virginia, and yes, Jeff Bell right here in New Jersey.

Yes, Mayor Dassing hired her brother, to do the job Essex County Democrats refused to do

I guess by now everyone has seen Frank Rodgers' mendacious hit mailer. It landed in my mailbox on Saturday blaring — "It's time to put Caldwell first, and not Mayor Ann Dassing's brother."

Sheesh, you'd think she was another Maureen Ruane, writing checks without council approval to anyone who asked.

Here's the truth.

Remember all the snow we had? Bloomfield Avenue is a county road. It's Joe DiVincenzo's job to keep it clear. Except, remember how snow was piled sky high and people couldn't park or walk to the shops? That's because Joe D's minions didn't do their job.

What about our junior Freeholder? Nope, Lenny Luciano didn't lift a finger to get Joe D off his ass.

Lenny and Joe D only pretend to care about Caldwell when they're up for re-election.

And as for good old Frank Rodgers? He sat on his hands while the snow piled up too.

There's your Essex county Democrats, they gave us a whole lotta nothing when we needed them most.

Mayor Dassing took action. She solved the problem. She wanted the job done right, so she went with someone she could trust. That's called leadership.

Frank Rodgers points fingers.

Ann Dassing gets results.

I'll let you decide who deserves your vote.

And if you're worried about wasting our tax dollars, ask Joe D why he spent $10 million of them on Safari Mini Golf at Turtle Back Zoo. Ten million bucks buys a lot of snow removal. But you don't hear Frank Rodgers complaining about that. Something else to consider when you vote tomorrow, eh?
