Technorati is indexing me again! They had to make a code change to fix the problem with my blog getting stuck in their queue. Kudos to Eric M. and the guys at GetSatisfaction.com where they have "community powered support for Technorati".
Well, they're "sorta, kinda" indexing me anyway. It's on a 24 hour tape delay or something. So I never get picked up by Memeorandum because they pull from Technorati and Technorati has stuff I posted yesterday listed as my latest blog entry. And that's old news to Memeorandum.

Of course it should be in the fiction section, but your local librarian is now the go-to gal for all things Obamacare.
In the escalating campaign to promote ObamaCare, the nation's librarians are about to become the Obama administration's latest recruits.
The White House, in conjunction with the American Library Association, kicked off the partnership on Sunday morning in Chicago, where the organization is holding its annual conference. President Obama, who is currently in Africa, was delivering a 10-minute video message to the conference.
Up to 17,000 U.S. libraries will be part of the effort to spread the word about the health care law while giving the public access to their computers. The government-librarian team-up is one of a number of partnerships -- some more controversial than others -- that the administration is trying to build in order to promote the law ahead of an Oct. 1 kick-off.
The library association appears to be all in. On Sunday, the group's Washington office plans to host a session to teach library workers how to help the public with the health care law.
Isn't it great to see our libraries cooperating with the government again? Here I thought they were adamantly opposed to governmental intrusions into their sacred realms. But I guess that's only when they're asked to look out for terrorists or shield kids from viewing hardcore pornography.
But Obamacare? It's featured in the card catalog! Unfortunatly not filed under
"Socialism," where its call number would obviously be 335.666.
Economist Milton Friedman famously said, "If you put the federal government in charge of the Sahara Desert, in 5 years there'd be a shortage of sand."
To which I'll add Chris's Corollary, "If you put the government in charge of selling dope, they'll screw it up in less than a year."
New Jersey's only "medical" marijuana dispensary is closing temporarily, because they ran out of pot.
Greenleaf Compassion Center in Montclair — New Jersey's only operating medical marijuana dispensary — will be closed for about two weeks to build up a surplus of "quality medicine," one of its co-founders, Julio Valentin, said today.
Patients were notified by phone this week that all appointments were cancelled until further notice. When the supply is built up, Greenleaf will call them back, Valentin told The Star-Ledger.
The shortage arose because about 10 percent of its crop this month was "inferior," Valentin said. Other plants did not yield the quantity they had anticipated, he added.
The center also remains overwhelmed by the demand, as it has have since it opened in December, he added. They see about 150 patients on a regular basis, with a waiting list of several hundred people.
Every 8-year old in Mexico knows how to grow dope. The cartels ship it here by the tractor-trailer-full and sell it to tens of millions of stoners all while keeping one step ahead of Dick Tracy.
But these government-regulated bozos can't supply a mere 150 people a month?
Hey, here's an idea, let's put this same government in charge of our health
care! What could go wrong?
Barack Obama's stone-cold heart remains unmoved. The cries of the unborn fell upon deaf ears. The prayers of the faithful went unanswered.
Kathleen "Death Panel Of One" Sebelius released her finalized HHS contraception mandate regulations today. They're essentially unchanged from the proposals which the USCCB found "unacceptable" last year.
There's a narrow carve-out for houses of worship and non-profit religious organizations. The cost of sin in those cases is transfered to the Federal Government, which will reimburse their insurance company for the objectional coverages.
But other religious employers and employees are out of luck. We're stuck paying for something we find morally repugnant. If we buy health insurance, we must buy contraception, sterilization, and abortion coverage. No exceptions.
It's like saying whenever you buy milk you have to buy corn flakes too. You may not want the corn flakes. You may not need the corn flakes. You may be allergic to corn flakes. But you'll buy those corn flakes and you'll be quiet about it. Or else no milk for you.
That's not freedom. That's not liberty. That's not the America I believe in.
It's tyranny. It's fascism. And it's way beyond the long train of abuses and
usurpations to which our Founding Fathers were subjected.
Well that didn't take long. Polygamy activists are ecstatic over our Supreme Court's legalization of same-sex "marriage." And they're ready to make their case because, face it, if you're going to redefine marriage anyway, what's so damn special about the number two?
Wanna guess who'll be leading the charge? Not the Mormons; they swore off the sister wives thing when Utah became a state. Nope, it'll be those fun-loving guys at the Council on American Islamic Relations who'll push polygamy into the mainstream.
Because Sharia Rocks!
Why confine yourself to beating the shit out of one wife when Allah says you can have four of 'em, all ready at a moment's notice to be subjugated under your firm hand? And while you're at it, let's eliminate all those pesky age-of-consent laws too! Mohammed banged a six-year old; it's unfair that you can't, right?
Redefining marriage is just so darn liberating. Really. In fact maybe
it's time I stopped being a h8er and simply embraced love in all its myriad

The implementors of Obamacare are building the biggest, most comprehensive, and intrusive database ever conceived. The Federal Data Services Hub sounds innocuous, its ostensible purpose is to help the new insurance exchanges determine eligibility for benefits, exemptions from the federal mandate, and how much to grant in federal insurance subsidies.
But the devil, as they say, is in the details. And when Congress asked HHS about those details, things got downright scary.
In response, the HHS said the ObamaCare data hub will "interact" with seven other federal agencies: Social Security Administration, the IRS, the Department of Homeland Security, the Veterans Administration, Office of Personnel Management, the Department of Defense and — believe it or not — the Peace Corps. Plus the Hub will plug into state Medicaid databases.
And what sort of data will be "routed through" the Hub? Social Security numbers, income, family size, citizenship and immigration status, incarceration status, and enrollment status in other health plans, according to the HHS.
The Peace Corps huh? Don't they mean ObamaCorps, aka The Hitler Youth? Dear Leader's domestic force for progressivism is quietly getting bigger and bigger every year, insinuating itself into every nook and cranny of local government under the guise of "community service."
But don't worry, The Obama Administration promises "the hub will not store consumer information, but will securely transmit data between state and federal systems to verify consumer application information."
BZZZZZZT! Wrong-o buckeroo. Their regulatory filing tells quite a different tale.
That filing describes a new "system of records" that will store names, birth dates, Social Security numbers, taxpayer status, gender, ethnicity, email addresses, telephone numbers on the millions of people expected to apply for coverage at the ObamaCare exchanges, as well as "tax return information from the IRS, income information from the Social Security Administration, and financial information from other third-party sources."
They will also store data from businesses buying coverage through an exchange, including a "list of qualified employees and their tax ID numbers," and keep it all on file for 10 years.
In addition, the filing says the federal government can disclose this information "without the consent of the individual" to a wide range of people, including "agency contractors, consultants, or grantees" who "need to have access to the records" to help run ObamaCare, as well as law enforcement officials to "investigate potential fraud."
Instapundit puts it succinctly:
It absolutely, positively will be abused politically.
They'll have everything they need, all in one place, to punish their political enemies. Don't think it won't happen. The temptation will be too great. The data will leak out. Those "agency contractors and consultants" encompass a vast conglomeration of liberal advocacy groups under the banner of Obamacare Navigators.
It's ACORN-redux, except the database they'll be accessing knows more about you than you do. And the Obama Administration's record on privacy isn't exactly what anyone here would call "stellar." Not to mention their inability to distinguish between governing and campaigning.
Of course it'll probably be more subtle than that. At least at first.
I'm so disgusted at today's SCOTUS rulings I can't even speak.
Fortunately Pat Archbold says it better than I could anyway, so I'll just quote him.
Marriage, as the union of a man and woman for the purposes of raising children and for mutual support as recognized in culture and law, has ceased to exist. The only reason that marriage needs be recognized by law is that previous generations understood its value and wished to confer certain legal and societal privileges to it so as to encourage it. They rightly understood that marriage is the cornerstone of a society.
Advocates have used those legal and societal privileges to beat, twist, and deform the very meaning and purpose of marriage. We now view the purpose of marriage solely as the conferring of these legal and societal privileges, and thus they can be granted to anyone and anything.
While many states have sought to forestall the redefinition of marriage in their states by statute or constitution, today's ruling basically invalidates their efforts and has opened the floodgate to approval of same sex marriage across the nation with no reasonable recourse. Marriage as we knew it is dead.
With the universal legal recognition of same-sex marriage a fait accompli, the next fight will be on the Church doorstep. The next battle will be to force Churches, most particularly the Catholic Church, to recognize and conduct same-sex marriage. The refusal to do so will result in a series of escalating legal and financial ramifications.
Eventually, becuase of its refusal to recognize immoral unions as marriage, the state will refuse to recognize Church marriages. As a result, more and more people will bypass Church marriage altogether, further marginalizing faith in this country. This effort is and has always been a war against religion and in particular a war against the Catholic Church. Right now, it is a war we are losing and after today, perhaps it is fair to say that we lost.
Holy Mother Church will prevail, eventually. But here in these United States I'm afraid it will soon be a hate crime to profess and teach the Catholic faith.
HHS Mandater-in-Chief Kathleen Sebelius is "partnering" with the NFL to push people into signing up for Obamacare.
Sebelius said the football league has been "very actively and enthusiastically engaged" in discussions about a partnership to encourage people to enroll in newly available insurance plans.
"We're having active discussions right now with a variety of sports affiliates" about both paid advertising and partnerships to encourage enrollment, Sebelius told reporters.
HHS is reportedly also in talks with the NBA to promote the law.
Partnerships with sports organizations are especially promising to HHS because the department hopes large numbers of young, healthy men will enroll in the law's new coverage options.
Attracting young, healthy people will help keep premiums from rising dramatically once the law begins offering new protections for more expensive patients — namely, banning insurance companies from discriminating against people with preexisting conditions.
I can't wait for Carrie Underwood's new SNF intro — "Are you ready for some Obamacare?" It's a health insurance party. They're gonna get it kick-started.
If the GOP is smart, they'll buy a Super Bowl ad, and model it on Apple's seminal 1984 commercial introducing the Macintosh.
"On January 24th Kathleen Sebelius will introduce … Obamacare … and you'll see why 2014 will be exactly like 1984."
Then end it with a picture of Dear Leader saying "I am Obama of Borg.
Resistance is futile, you will be assimilated."
If a 6 year old wants to play with matches, I'd hope his parents would say "no."
But if he wants to pretend he's a girl, and use the girls' bathroom at school, not only did his parents say "yes," but they sued the school on his behalf. And won.
Or maybe, it's the parents who want him to be a girl. Sort of a transgender Munchausen by proxy syndrome. Which of course is "child abuse" by another name. Because it seems like the mother is something of an attention whore.
Because there's a woman here who is familiar with Coy Mathis' mother and says shw "is a fame-seeking attention whore, who will stop at nothing to prove how edgy and non-mainstream she is."
It seems Mrs. Mathis conceived triplets with the assistance of non-presciption fertility drugs she got from Mexico, and then had "natural childbirth" in a swimming pool in her living room. When one of her triplets got a serious respiratory disease (RSV), Mrs. Mathis sought the assistance of an alternative "healer" with the result that the child suffered brain damage and is now severely retarded. Having gained an Internet "following" first in the mothers-of-triplets community, then in the natural childbirth community and then in the "special needs" community, now it would seem that Mrs. Mathis is seeking to expand her "following" to include the mothers-of-transgendered community.
Good thing she didn't name her son "Adolph Hitler," then the authorities would step in!
But since young Coy is a cause celebre among the "gay rights" and other assorted fringe freakazoids of the universe, not to mention how all things LGBTQ are now the epitome of cool among the cognoscenti, it's only a matter of time before he's the star of a prime-time reality TV show.
Coming soon to cable TV: Real Housewives of Kookville.
Or, since he's running with that whole "I'm a girl" thing, guest hosting on
Having solved all the other problems facing America, Dear Leader will now turn his attention to … (drum roll, please) … climate change!
President Barack Obama said on Saturday that he will outline a climate change plan on Tuesday centered around reducing pollution from carbon emissions as he attempts to make good on a pledge for his second term.
"This Tuesday, I'll lay out my vision for where I believe we need to go - a national plan to reduce carbon pollution, prepare our country for the impacts of climate change and lead global efforts to fight it," he said in a White House video.
OK numbnuts, you first. Put your CO2 where your big mouth is.
I hear your SS is shopping for new presidential limo. How about buying one that doesn't get 8 gallons to the mile?
What's that? You're too important to save gas? Yeah, it's only us peasants who you're gonna force into Chevy Volts. You get to keep your gas-guzzling monstrosity. And apparently, so does your dog.
Heckuva example you're setting there Barry.
So, here's another suggestion from the folks at Maggie's Farm:
Why not cut off power to the federal government first? Heat, a/c, and electric. That would show real leadership. Pres. Lincoln managed fine without electricity, central heating, or a/c, and he rode around town on a low-emission horse powered by biofuel. First, the gummint should cut the power to the NSA and the IRS. Then, the White House. Then Congress. Our moral and intellectual superiors should show us the way.
Sounds good to me! If you're gonna talk the talk you gotta walk the walk.
Your sycophants keep comparing you to Lincoln. Well then, live like Lincoln did.
Or are you better than Abraham Lincoln?
The Senate immigration reform bill keeps getting better and better. If by "better" you mean "rewards felons."
Earlier this week we learned that illegal aliens with DUI convictions would still be eligible for the path to citizenship.
As preposterous as it may seem, illegal immigrants with drunk-driving, domestic violence, aggravated assault and child abuse convictions will qualify for amnesty under the immigration bill pending in the U.S. Senate unless an amendment introduced by a Texas lawmaker is adopted.
Incredibly, groups that would normally be vocal on these sorts of issues have remained silent. For instance, the nation's largest organization working to stop drunk driving and support victims of the violent crime — Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) — refuses to criticize the proposed law even though it will essentially reward those convicted of driving dunk. Through a spokeswoman, MADD said it "doesn't get involved in immigration matters."
Under the current legislation, crafted by the bipartisan Gang of Eight in the senate, illegal aliens convicted of the crimes mentioned above are eligible for probationary legal status, officially known as Registered Provisional Immigrant (RPI). This means they can qualify for a Social Security number and state driver's license as they embark on a 10-year path to permanent residency. Three years later, candidates become eligible for American citizenship.
So MADD is essentially saying it's OK that habitual drunk drivers like Manuel Gutierrez Vazquez can be rewarded with driver's licenses. Even though he killed a 28 year old father and seriously injured his two young children while driving drunk on a New Jersey highway. Plus, Vazquez did not have a valid driver's license and had been arrested a few weeks earlier for driving drunk in another state, according to a local news report.
Yeah, that's exactly the kind of upstanding immigrant we want to invite into our country!
But OK, suppose by some minor miracle, Manuel Gutierrez Vazquez is denied RPI status. He's still golden, because Big Sis can waive his deportation.
William Jacboson has been doing some homework on the Senate's immigration bill. This is interesting, to say the least, "Loophole in Gang of 8 bill gives Napolitano wide discretion to allow almost anyone to stay in U.S."
Donald Douglas annotated the relevent section:
And there you have it, a loophole big enough to drive a freight train through. Amnesty for everybody. Janet Incompetano can waive deportation for anyone, at any time, with no accountability.
I imagine her criteria will go something like this. "Do you plan to vote
Democrat?" Yes? "Welcome to America!"
Did you know that Obama's CIA is actively training Syrian "rebels" to use advanced anti-tank and anti-aircraft weapons?
CIA operatives and U.S. special operations troops have been secretly training Syrian rebels with anti-tank and anti-aircraft weapons since late last year, months before President Obama approved plans to begin directly arming them, according to U.S. officials and rebel commanders.
The training has involved fighters from the Free Syrian Army, a loose confederation of rebel groups that the Obama administration has promised to back with expanded military assistance, said a U.S. official, who discussed the effort anonymously because he was not authorized to disclose details.
And here's where the Real Fun begins, because by "rebels" I mean, of course, al Qaeda. Or rather, al Qaeda's Syrian branch, known as the al Nusra Front, which is a key player in this so-called "loose configuration of rebel groups."
Al Qaeda with anti-aircraft weapons, what could go wrong?
But wait, there's more!
Marines for Morsi — U.S. soldiers deployed to Egypt so they can help the Muslim Brotherhood "restore order."
A group of soldiers are preparing for their deployment to Egypt with riot training on post.
They're planning ahead for violent protests or riots and the possibility of protecting the country's border with Israel.
Somewhere, Lara Logan is crying.
Trust Obama! Because Syria is "too complicated" for us mere mortals to understand.
As for why we're helping the Muslim Brotherhood beat the living shit out of everyday Egyptians, I guess that's not something we're supposed to understand either.
I'm with Sarah Palin, let 'em kill each other. Allah can sort it out.
But then, if we did that, Obama couldn't pretend he's Caliph.
New Jersey high school athletes who talk trash could find their teams penalized and themselves under investigation by the state Civil Rights Division.
The New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association and the state Attorney General's Office announced the new policy on Wednesday.
They say it brings athletic events into line with the state's anti-bullying law for schools.
Referees would also be required to report incidents for possible further investigation.
Soon they won't even keep score. Because "losers" will feel bad. And God forbid someone's precious little snowflake feels bad.
We're breeding a nation of wimps.
Oops, can I say "wimps?" Or is that bullying?
I wouldn't want to be accused of bullying. If the state Civil Rights
Division came knocking on my door I might be unable to resist the urge to
tell them where to shove their investigation.
Hours after promising in Berlin that action was coming on climate change, Barack Obama is preparing to make what could be the biggest environmental move of his presidency. White House officials say the President is planning to implement new regulations that would significantly reduce carbon emissions on existing power plants. The plan — which was hinted at in The Los Angeles Times earlier this week — involves instituting new rules through the Environmental Protection Agency, which doesn't require the approval of Congress.
"Biggest move of his presidency" means regulations even more onerous than the last round of diktats which only raised electric rates by 800 percent.
We can only speculate as to what the impact will be, a thousand percent? Two thousand percent? But I guarantee his proscriptions won't be cheap.
Earlier on Wednesday, Obama made climate change a key section of his address at the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, calling it "the global threat of our time." Adding that "Peace with justice means refusing to condemn our children to a harsher, less hospitable planet."
Yeah, there's nothing harsh or inhospitable about freezing in the dark, right?
Because if our children can't afford electricity that's exactly the future he's condemning them to live in.
North Korea is building atomic bombs as fast as they can.
Iran can't wait to nuke Tel Aviv.
Al Qaeda wants a bomb. Any bomb.
So naturally Barack Obama thinks it's a swell time to cut the U.S. nuclear arsenal by 1/3.
Obama will propose a one-third reduction in U.S. strategic nuclear warheads, lowering the total number of warheads to between 1,000 and 1,100.
The potential reductions would be from a current limit of 1,550, the number set in the New START treaty that was ratified by the Senate in December 2010.
Remember Ronald Reagan's motto of Peace Through Strength?
I'm guessing Obama's Peace Through Timidity plan isn't going to be nearly as effective.
Unless the goal is to destroy the United States.
The Fifth Amendment says you have the right to remain silent.
Yesterday our Supreme Court decided that you must explicitly ask for that right.
In a 5-4 decision the Supreme Court ruled today that a potential defendant's silence can be used against him if he is being interviewed by police but is not arrested (and read his Miranda rights) and has not verbally invoked the protection of the Fifth Amendment.
Tim Lynch at the Cato Institute explains that the Salinas v. Texas case was intended to be about whether prosecutors during a trial could cast aspersions on a defendant's silence during questioning that took place prior to arrest — prior to the defendent being told he had the right to remain silent. Instead, the Supreme Court determined that they wouldn't need to rule on the matter because the defendant had never invoked the Fifth Amendment's protection. This decision means that it's the responsibility of the individual to know about the protections offered by the Fifth Amendment even prior to arrest and to actually verbally invoke it:
The Court said Salinas simply remained silent and did not "formally" invoke any constitutional right, so prosecutors could offer commentary to the jury. What's most disturbing about the ruling is its discussion of "burdens." The plurality put the onus on the individual, not the government.
In other words, you must speak in order to affirm your Constitutional right to refrain from speaking. The right to remain silent is not a natural right, it must be explicitly invoked.
I think my head's gonna explode.
It's a good thing I never went to law school. Having studied mathematics I
am governed by logic, and given this silent scream and yesterday's
voter ID vitiation it's obvious that logic and the law are mutually exclusive.
The Constitution says you have to be a U.S. citizen in order to vote. Arizona passed a law saying you need to show proof of that citizenship when you register to vote. Alas, our Supreme Court has now said "no, you don't."
The Supreme Court on Monday struck down an Arizona law that requires people to submit proof of citizenship when they register to vote.
The vote was 7-2, with Justice Antonin Scalia writing for the court. Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito, two members of the court's conservative wing, dissented.
Citizenship is a requirement to vote in any federal election, and the federal registration form requires people to state, under penalty of perjury, that they are American citizens. States can use their own forms, but they must be equivalent to the federal form. The Arizona law, known as Proposition 200, adopted by Arizona voters in 2004, went further than the federal form by requiring applicants to provide proof of citizenship.
Unbelievable. "I pinky-swear I'm a citizen." "OK, you can vote!"
At an oral argument in March, Thomas Horne, a lawyer for Arizona, told the justices that the state was within its rights to ask for additional information beyond the simple federal form.
"It's extremely inadequate," Horne said. "It's essentially an honor system. It does not do the job."
Of course it doesn't. But SCOTUS says that's OK, because, racism.
"Today's decision sends a strong message that states cannot block their citizens from registering to vote by superimposing burdensome paperwork requirements on top of federal law," said Nina Perales, vice president of litigation for the Mexican-American Legal Defense and Education Fund.
Ah, but who is a citizen? As of today, you can't ask. And I'm sure
no illegal alien would ever try to pretend she is one. Of course not,
that would be perjury. And we all know that people who flout our
immigration laws are complete sticklers for telling the truth.
Smile, you're on Obama-cam. Because buried deep inside the Senate immigration reform plan is a comprehensive national ID system. Wired broke the story last month.
The immigration reform measure the Senate began debating yesterday would create a national biometric database of virtually every adult in the U.S., in what privacy groups fear could be the first step to a ubiquitous national identification system.
Buried in the more than 800 pages of the bipartisan legislation (.pdf) is language mandating the creation of the innocuously-named "photo tool," a massive federal database administered by the Department of Homeland Security and containing names, ages, Social Security numbers and photographs of everyone in the country with a driver's license or other state-issued photo ID.
Employers would be obliged to look up every new hire in the database to verify that they match their photo.
This piece of the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act is aimed at curbing employment of undocumented immigrants. But privacy advocates fear the inevitable mission creep, ending with the proof of self being required at polling places, to rent a house, buy a gun, open a bank account, acquire credit, board a plane or even attend a sporting event or log on the internet. Think of it as a government version of Foursquare, with Big Brother cataloging every check-in.
OK, let's not get carried away. This database will never be used at polling places to check voter registration, because, and we all know this, voter ID is racist.
But all that other stuff? Yeah, it's totally gonna happen. Yesterday, CNN explained how it'll work.
Any citizen wanting to take a job would face the regulation that his or her digitized high-resolution passport or driver's license photo be collected and stored centrally in a Department of Homeland Security Citizenship and Immigration Services database.
The pictures in the national database would then need to be matched against the job applicant's government-issued "enhanced" ID card, using a Homeland Security-mandated facial-recognition "photo tool." Only when those systems worked perfectly could the new hire take the job.
Immigrant employees would probably have to get biometric (based on body measurements like fingerprint scans and digital images) worker ID cards. Social Security cards may soon become biometric as well. Any citizen or immigrant whose digital image in the Homeland Security databank did not match the one embedded in their government-issued ID would be without a job.
Pushes all that NSA spying and wiretapping into a whole new dimension, doesn't it? They've got our phone records. They're reading our email, friending us on Facebook, and following us on Twitter. SCOTUS says they can swab our DNA. And DHS will tie it all together with our picture and social security number.
All Obama has to do is put his "photo tool" facial recognition software behind the legion of security cameras deployed hither and yon "for our protection," and Big Brother will know our every move. Probably even before we do.
Welcome my son
Welcome to the machine
Where have you been?
It's alright we know where you've been
Winston Smith, please call your office.
Because nothing says Serious Republican Presidential Contender quite like skipping out on the Faith and Freedom Coalition so you can hobnob with Bill and Hillary Clinton.
A host of Republicans considering 2016 presidential bids, including Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul and Texas Gov. Rick Perry, will attend a conference for religious conservatives starting Thursday, with a notable exception: New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
Christie was invited to speak at the Faith and Freedom Coalition's two-day "Road To Majority" conference in Washington, Republicans with knowledge of the invitation said.
Christie's team declined, citing a scheduling conflict.
Instead of visiting the conservative confab, the New Jersey governor, who is up for re-election this year, will be heading to Chicago to attend a symposium sponsored by the Clinton Global Initiative, the foundation helmed by former President Bill Clinton.
Christie will speak at the Clinton forum on Friday night. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, another possible presidential candidate, will speak Thursday.
Some "conservative rock star," eh? That particular moniker seems rather shop-worn these days, no matter what the Star-Ledger will try to tell you. Christie is turning leftward so fast it's a miracle he doesn't get whiplash.
All those prominent NJ Democrats lining up behind him aren't jumping on Christie's bandwagon because they've suddenly drunk the GOP kool-aid. Nope, they're on board because he's their kind of guy.
And the Clintons and their acolytes are certainly not interested in hearing
anything remotely resembling a true Conservative viewpoint. Which I'm sure
is just fine with New Jersey's favorite RINO.
Number One on the list is "Evangelical Christianity." "Ultra-Orthodox Judaism" is number 3. And obviously slackers, Catholics landed way down in tenth place.
Note too the absence of any U.S. based Muslim terrorist front groups.
But they make sure to include the catch-all category of "Islamophobia." Otherwise know as the fear of getting one's head chopped off on YouTube.
So imagine my surprise when I read this morning that the Administration has adopted a hands-off policy with regard to surveillance of mosques in America.
Ayup, he'll listen on my phone calls. He'll read your email. He'll track your neighbor's every shopping trip. But Barack Obama won't let anyone take even a peek inside the doors of a mosque.
That's right, the government's sweeping surveillance of our most private communications excludes the jihad factories where homegrown terrorists are radicalized.
Since October 2011, mosques have been off-limits to FBI agents. No more surveillance or undercover string operations without high-level approval from a special oversight body at the Justice Department dubbed the Sensitive Operations Review Committee.
And if you're wondering who these arbiters of our national security are, well keep wondering. The makeup of his Sensitive Operations Review Committee is Top Secret. But it was formed at the behest of the peace-loving Muslims at the Council on American-Islamic Relations, so you can be pretty sure that it's packed with guys who have America's best interests at heart. Honest.
I feel safer already. Don't you?
Liberal nutjob Senator Kristen Gillibrand wants every military unit to establish a parallel chain of command, one answerable to politically correct bureaucrats instead of military brass.
Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) has proposed a dramatic change in the virtually God-like power a unit commander has over subordinates, including the process by which allegations of sexual assault are handled.
She wants to alter the chain of command to create a separate military convening authority to assess such allegations and decide if they will go to trial.
Ah, yes. This shadow command will only investigate "allegations of sexual assault." Except the Obama Administration has profoundly twisted the definition of "sexual assault" into an unrecognizable morass of feminut nonsense. Thoughts, glances, off-hand comments, even asking someone out on a date are all now considered potentially "offensive" and subject to adjudication.
And of course anything but full-throated celebration of homosexuality is grounds for immediate court martial.
So inserting a Soviet-style political officer into every unit makes perfect
sense, unless you see our military as a cohesive fighting force instead of a
vehicle for imposing radical social change.
It's not a good week to be Barbara Buono.
Because yesterday Democrat powerbroker Brian Stack endorsed Republican Chris Christie for re-election.
State Sen. Brian Stack, the mayor of Union City and a Democratic powerbroker in Hudson County, said this afternoon that the Republican governor has been one the most responsive and impressive state leaders he's ever worked with.

Essex County Executive Joseph DiVincenzo, Sheriff Armando Fontoura, a dozen black pastors and five Democratic mayors backed Gov. Chris Christie today in the governor's biggest cross-aisle endorsement event to date.
You know what's funny? Republican endorsements of Christie aren't exactly pouring in. But those Democrats, they love themselves some of that RINO-licious bipartisanship!
DiVincenzo — who has been friends with Christie for 11 years and frequently sings his praises publicly — said he decided to endorse the governor rather than remain neutral in the race when he saw him embrace President Obama after Hurricane Sandy and criticize House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) for stalling federal aid.
Oh, so that's how a Republican garners endorsements from Democrats.
He acts like one of them! He embraces Dear Leader! He pisses on his own party!
And I assure you, it most certainly is not because Chris Christie is any kind of Conservative rock star.
Can Christie's "I didn't leave the Republican Party, the Republican Party
left me" moment be far behind? Because with friends like these, his chances
of landing the 2016 Republican nomination for president are somewhere between
slim and none. And we all know that Chris Christie wants to be president.
New Jersey has a Republican U.S. Senator!
Jeffrey Chiesa was sworn in Monday to what will be an 18-week stint as United States senator, less than a week after Governor Christie arrived at his home to discuss whether he would be interested in replacing the late Sen. Frank Lautenberg.
"I have work to do to learn about the institutions and about the issues, which I'm trying to do, I started to do over the weekend," Chiesa said. "And it's actually less than a week from the time [Christie] came until right now, and so I'm getting my legs steadied underneath me and doing everything I can to ful fill my obligation."
OK Senator, time to jump into the deep end. Here's your first issue. Marco Rubio's scamnesty. Your job is to vote "no."
Our job is to remind you of that, repeatedly, by writing and calling your office.

With Kelly Ayotte's defection it is imperative that you hold the line against La Raza and the open borders crowd.
There is only one path to immigration reform. And that path starts with comprehensive, efficient, and impregnable border security. Then, and only then, can this country afford the luxury of contemplating the status of 12 to 14 million braceros yearning to vote Democrat.
Alas, even modest proposals to that end are lambasted by the gods of political correctness.
Former Atlanta Braves third baseman Chipper Jones tweeted a public apology on Sunday after facing a massive backlash for suggesting the government fill the Rio Grande River with alligators to prevent illegal immigration.
Sheesh. I'd mine the whole river and deploy snipers on our side. Teaching them fellers a lesson ought not take too long, if they're half as smart as Rubio says they are.
Look, one way or another we have to stop the flood of benefit-seekers before we dangle a whole new mountain of free stuff out there for the taking.
That's not too much to ask, is it Senator Chiesa?
Having spent most of this weekend attending various graduation parties with a gaggle of Obama voters I can unequivocally say one thing — they don't care that he's spying on Americans. Because according to them, he's spying on the right Americans.
Conservatives, Tea Partyers, Fox News: all perceived as enemies of progressivism. And thus fair game. Because, racism.
It's an interesting, and sadly sophomoric worldview. "Brother Obama," as he is known in certain circles, is a kind of demi-god to these folks. He's omnipotent. He's benevolent. He's a superhuman champion of the underclasses. Everything Barack Obama does is for our own good, because he cannot possibly be anything but perfect. And of course, "Bush was worse," while all of Obama's problems are caused by evil republicans.
One conversation stands out, with a fellow who works in IT for a government contractor. He said everyone who works for the government has a heart of gold. In fact, government is the epitome of altruism, public servants (such as himself!) are the protectors of our freedom. And if that means we citizens need to surrender our personal information to the government (think FB, twitter, email, etc) so be it. The government would never abuse that info! There are "safeguards."
And if someone in the government does do something we don't like, it isn't because they're bad, it's because "we don't understand" the true threat that they're protecting us from. The government knows what's good for us. Moreover, subjecting these data mining programs to public scrutiny undermines the government's ability to protect us, so persecuting Obama's critics keeps America safer!
I gotta tell you, hearing this stuff scares the shit out of me.
But if you wanted to know how Obama thought he could get away with all this skullduggery, well, now you know. His sycophants refuse to acknowledge reality. Their brainwashing is complete.
This is how fascism starts. This is how totalitarian states are born. "First they came for the Tea Partyers, but I didn't care because I wasn't a racist tea bagger." Go ahead, tell me it isn't exactly what's happening right now.
Because Big Brother Obama isn't using all this surveillance to keep America safe.
He's using all this surveillance to punish his political enemies.
And I've discovered that I know a whole lot of people who are OK with that. People who embrace it as necessary. And smile.
Whatever country emerges from the ruins of his administration, it won't be America. Not the America established in 1776. And certainly not the America that Ronald Reagan described as "a shining city on a hill."
Anyone? Bueller? Anyone?
Nope. He must think we're all morons. (Sadly, with regard to the 51% who voted for him, he's right.) But if Pravda can wake up, maybe there's hope.
President Obama strongly defended the government's secret surveillance of people's phone records and Internet activities, saying … that the programs are "under very strict supervision by all three branches of government and they do not involve listening to people's phone calls, do not involve reading the e-mails of U.S. citizens and U.S. residents."
Except when, you know, they do involve exactly that.
Renee Montagne from NPR spoke with liberal columnist and author Glenn Greenwald, the reporter who co-wrote the stories for the British newspaper The Guardian, today on the massive data-mining scandal.
Greenwald dropped this bomb during the interview.
"There are reported examples of the NSA, analysts at the NSA, using mechanisms they have access to. ABC reported several years ago through whistle blowers that they have used it to eavesdrop on people on whom they have personal grudges. There are isolated examples of the Patriot Act being abused. The problem is that the entire system operates behind a wall of extreme secrecy."
Hmm. Grudges, eh? Perhaps like how the IRS just happened to have a "grudge" against Conservatives and Tea Party groups? Those kind of grudges?
Nah, Barack Obama would never do something like that! He's the Unicorn Healer.
He's not listening to your phone calls. He's not reading your email. He's not watching what you type into Google.
He's got people for that. At the NSA. And they're tracking every single thing you do.
Then, if you're on his enemies list, they'll turn all that data over to OFA. In case someone needs to pay you a visit.
It'll just be for a friendly chat.
The first time.
Did I say "can't?"
I meant won't.
Because to Barack Obama, terrorists and illegal aliens are not a priority. Tea Partyers, Conservatives, and Patriots. They're the priority.
He vowed to "fundamentally transform" America.
And boy oh boy, he sure has.
The amount of surveillance he's unleashed on American citizens would make J. Edgar Hoover blush. Thanks Verizon, yes the NSA can hear you now. And don't for one minute believe that AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, and Skype aren't also cooperating. As are just about every major internet company and search engine.
According to the Post, the National Security Agency and FBI are "tapping directly into the central servers of nine leading US Internet companies, extracting audio, video, photographs, e-mails, documents and connection logs that enable analysts to track a person's movements and contacts over time." The program is code-named PRISM, and was leaked to the newspaper by a "career intelligence offer" who said, "They quite literally can watch your ideas form as you type."
Also feeding into this Orwellian database? Credit card transactions. And supermarket loyalty card info. Undoubtedly along with a whole bunch of other stuff we haven't heard about yet.
So riddle me this Batman.
With all that data, and given that the Russians told him about the Tsarnaev brothers, why didn't someone stop the Boston Marathon bombing?
Because Barack Obama refuses to consider Islam to be the source of terrorism, that's why.
A correspondent to Breitbart News writes in frustration: "The FBI and NSA were reading [Nidal] Hassan's emails to [Anwar] Al Awlaki and monitoring his phone calls and didn't think he was a threat at Ft. Hood. The FBI was also monitoring the phone calls of the Times Square bomber and didn't do anything. So much for the value of phone call and email monitoring. Check the old news clips on these stories. It's all there."
We know who Obama's real enemies are.
And then comes a reminder of which information the government has been most interested in: information about Tea Party and conservative groups, information about individual activists in the conservative movement, information about the prayers of pro-life groups — information, in other words, about its political opponents, who have been treated since the beginning of the Obama administration like the real national enemy.
Welcome to Chicago politics coupled with Soviet tactics.
This is not the America our Founding Fathers envisioned.
But it's exactly what Obama
promised us we'd get.
In the topsy-turvy world of welfare, the government is failing if they aren't giving away enough free stuff. So the solution, of course, is to recruit more dependents. Because the government cheese isn't going to eat itself.
In October, two nonprofits labeled the Jersey City school district an "underachiever" for not serving free or reduced-price school breakfasts to more than 80 percent of eligible students.
Eight months later, the district has stepped up to the plate with a pilot program, which started Monday at nearly half a dozen schools and is aimed at increasing the number of eligible kids who receive free/reduced breakfasts at school.
The initial results are encouraging, with the number of students receiving free/reduced breakfasts at School 12 increasing by about 90 percent.
"That's amazing," said Cecilia Zalkind, executive director of Advocate for Children of New Jersey, one of the two nonprofits that had chided the school district for its low participation rate. "We're so excited that the superintendent has stepped up in Jersey City and made this a commitment."
The key to the district's early success is simple. The 11 schools participating in the program are now serving breakfast in classrooms at 8:30 a.m., when students are required to be at school. Before, breakfast was served in the schools' cafeterias starting at 8 o'clock.
Wow. It's not just a culture of dependency. It's a culture of catering to dependency. These little mendicants can't drag their sorry butts into the cafeteria before school starts. So the "solution" is to rev up a whole new Meals on Wheels program! Do they have someone who chews the food for them too?
And I love the repeated emphasis on how it's "free." Sorry to burst the liberal bubble, but There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Breakfast. I'm paying for it, and if you've got a job, you're paying for it too. Remember, every dollar the government spends was confiscated from someone. That's the dirty secret of taxation.
And so another generation is indoctrinated into the cult of big government.
Liberals call this "progress."
How much does the Obama Administration hate Apple?
First they accused the company of being tax cheats.
And now they've issued an import ban against the iPhone 4 and iPad 2.
A U.S. trade agency on Tuesday issued a ban on imports of Apple's iPhone 4 and a variant of the iPad 2 after finding the devices violate a patent held by South Korean rival Samsung Electronics.
Because the devices are assembled in China, the import ban would end Apple's ability to sell them in the U.S.
However, President Barack Obama has 60 days to invalidate Tuesday's order from the U.S. International Trade Commission in Washington. Obama is against import bans on the basis of the type of patent at issue in the Samsung case. On Tuesday, the White House issued a recommendation to Congress that it limit the ITC's ability to impose import bans in these cases.
So Obama might overrule his own trade commission.
Say, if Apple decides to cough up some extra taxes? Or repatriate their offshore assets?
Because this looks a lot like a squeeze play to me. You know, hardball,
the Chicago way.
Obama isn't even trying to pretend he's an American any more. Or a patriot, deferential to the Founding Fathers.
He's a tyrant, and malevolent to boot.
Susan "YouTube" Rice gets rewarded for her Benghazi duplicity with a promotion to National Security Advisor.
Both reporting for duty under the jaundiced eye of Genghis John Kerry.
Neither interested in what we used to call "America."
While Kathleen Sebelius is now officially Obamacare's Death Panel of one.
Oh, by the way, is Eric Holder still investigating himself? Or was that file closed with nary a whimper? You can't ask the media, and I seem to have lost track.
All is proceeding according to Saul Alinsky's plan.
We won't recognize this country by 2016. That is, if we still have a country.
Our governor could have appointed someone to fill Lautenberg's seat. A Republican perhaps! But Steve Sweeney and the Democrats threatened to pitch a fit if he did, so the GOP will lose another opportunity to counter the Progressive Menace.
Gov. Chris Christie today called for a primary election and a special election this year to fill U.S. Sen. Frank Lautenberg's seat, saying the issues facing the country are "too great" to leave the position vacant.
Christie said the Democratic and Republican primaries will be held on Aug. 13, and the general election on Oct. 16. The winner of the general election will serve out the remainder of Lautenberg's term, and the next election will be held, on schedule, in November 2014.
"The issues facing the United States Senate are too critically important … not to have an elected representative making those decisions who was voted on and decided on by the people of this state," Christie said.
Proving once again that the Seventeenth Amendment is truly the most odious perversion of the Founders' intent ever to be foisted on our Republic.
"The people of this state" already have elected representatives. That's what our 12 Congressmen are for. And for that matter, so is Bob Menendez, except the only person he represents is Soloman Melgen. As for Frank Lautenberg's ostensible "representation" of New Jersey, let's just say his heart resided in California, he occasionally slept in Manhattan, and he spent most of his time in Washington, DC.
The State of New Jersey needs a representative in the U.S. Senate. Someone who is above the vicissitudes of electoral gamesmanship. Steve Lonegan would be an inspired choice.
Instead we get to go through the charade of a special election just so the Democrats can arrange Cory Booker's coronation while slinging mud at another RINO.
Is Chris Christie a Conservative Rock Star, or what?
Richard Windsor has a lot of friends. All of them are fake too. But that's how Obama's top appointees do business — behind aliases, hidden from the public and those pesky Freedom Of Information Act requests.
Some of President Obama's political appointees, including the Cabinet secretary for the Health and Human Services Department, are using secret government email accounts they say are necessary to prevent their inboxes from being overwhelmed with unwanted messages, according to a review by The Associated Press.
The scope of using the secret accounts across government remains a mystery: Most U.S. agencies have failed to turn over lists of political appointees' email addresses, which the AP sought under the Freedom of Information Act more than three months ago. The Labor Department initially asked the AP to pay more than $1 million for its email addresses.
The AP asked for the addresses following last year's disclosures that the former administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency had used separate email accounts at work. The practice is separate from officials who use personal, non-government email accounts for work, which generally is discouraged -- but often happens anyway -- due to laws requiring that most federal records be preserved.
The secret email accounts complicate an agency's legal responsibilities to find and turn over emails in response to congressional or internal investigations, civil lawsuits or public records requests because employees assigned to compile such responses would necessarily need to know about the accounts to search them. Secret accounts also drive perceptions that government officials are trying to hide actions or decisions.
"What happens when that person doesn't work there anymore? He leaves and someone makes a request (to review emails) in two years," said Kel McClanahan, executive director of National Security Counselors, an open government group. "Who's going to know to search the other accounts? You would hope that agencies doing this would keep a list of aliases in a desk drawer, but you know that isn't happening."
Remember when Barack Obama promised us "the most transparent administration in history?"
Yeah, me neither.
With all these secret noms-de-guerre how does anybody in Washington keep track of who's who?
I can see it now. Somewhere deep in the bowels of the Old Executive Office
Building there's a guy, in a closet, with a dusty log book and a bank of
56K modems, diligently writing down the name of every freshly minted
doppelganger. And of course, nobody knows his real name either.
The cops can now take your DNA, anytime or anywhere they want. And there isn't Thing One you can do about that. Because the Supreme Court just pissed all over the Fourth Amendment.
A sharply divided Supreme Court on Monday said police can continue to take DNA from people they arrest without getting a warrant. The court's five-justice majority said DNA testing was a legitimate police arrest procedure, like fingerprinting.
"Taking and analyzing a cheek swab of the arrestee DNA is, like fingerprinting and photographing, a legitimate police booking procedure that is reasonable under the Fourth Amendment," Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote for the court's five-justice majority.
Justice Scalia disagreed.
"Make no mistake about it: because of today's decision, your DNA can be taken and entered into a national database if you are ever arrested, rightly or wrongly, and for whatever reason," conservative Justice Antonin Scalia said in a sharp dissent which he read aloud in the courtroom.
Just A Conservative Girl lays out the facts in the underlying case, and then extrapolates the effect of this ruling.
Doesn't those on the court understand how this can be abused? Now, it seems pretty obvious that King is indeed a rapist. I have zero sympathy for him, zero. But he isn't really the point. These cases are always about something bigger than person who brought the case. When he was arrested, there doesn't seem to be that there was evidence he was guilty of committing this rape. So why would they have right to take his DNA? The entire point of our justice system is the presumption of innocence. By automatically taking DNA swabs of every person who is arrested we have forgone that presumption and walking towards something that will no longer resemble our justice system.
Welcome to Gattaca. Please place your finger into the DNA scanner. Thank you.
You read that right. George Soros hearts Chris Christie.
Five executives at Soros Fund Management have chipped in a combined $19,000 to the governor's re-election campaign, state records show. The donor roll includes Soros' protégé and chief investment officer, Scott Bessent, who tends to fund liberal Democrats.
In fact, liberal Democrats across the country are actively lining up behind Christie.
Gov. Chris Christie is cashing in donations from top Democratic fundraisers and other traditionally liberal donors across the country, even nabbing the support of a handful of rainmakers aligned with President Obama and Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, a Star-Ledger review of state and federal records shows.
The checks are flying into the Republican governor's war chest from all sorts of unlikely places — the hedge fund run by liberal billionaire George Soros, for example, and the politically progressive halls of the University of California, Berkeley.
The nascent support from Democratic donors is an early sign of Christie's fundraising prowess in a potential run for the White House in 2016, experts and Democratic donors said, and dovetails with recent polls showing him gaining popularity nationally among Democrats and independents.
Christie's partnership with New Jersey Democratic leaders and his warm relationship with Obama after Hurricane Sandy could be enticing donors who don't often give to GOP candidates, even if they are closer ideologically to Democrat Barbara Buono, Christie's lesser-known challenger, political scientists and Democratic fundraisers say.
Or maybe, and I'm just making an observation here based on living day in and day out with him as my governor, maybe it's because Chris Christie is closer ideologically to them. Much closer than anyone in the national GOP is willing to admit.
Because on a whole host of issues, from gun control to fracking, or illegal immigration to creeping Sharia, Chris Christie's positions are indistinguishable from anything you'll read at the leftest of lefty blogs. And if you think, well at least he'll appoint conservative judges, think again. His three highest profile appointments to the bench were a terrorist-sympathizing Muslim lawyer, a gay "marriage" advocate, and a guy whose immigration sob story makes Sonya Sotomayor seem like a Daughter of the American Revolution in comparison.
Fortunately the latter two were swallowed up in the byzantine politics of NJ State Senate power plays. But Judge Sohail Mohammed sits on the NJ Superior Court bench, dispensing Sharia on a daily basis.
So ask yourself, why are so many liberals eager to line up behind
Chris Christie, rather than say, Hillary Clinton? I guarantee it's not because
of his good looks and boyish charm.
The Methodists in Ocean Grove, NJ can't catch a break.
If that makes no sense to you, join the club.
Back in 2009 two troublemaker lesbians wanted to use the boardwalk for a same-sex "wedding" ceremony. The Methodist Church, which owns just about everything in Ocean Grove, said "no." The rabble-rousers sued, the Obama Administration and pretty much every gay rights organization this side of Uranus piled on. And sadly the Methodists lost, because the judge said their boardwalk was a "public accomodation."
Four years later Hurricane Sandy smashed that boardwalk, and every other boardwalk up and down the Jersey shore, to smithereens.
The good news is FEMA is rebuilding all those other boardwalks.
The bad news is, FEMA has decided the Ocean Grove boardwalk is a church after all. So no rebuilding money!
Federal officials have once again denied funding to rebuild Ocean Grove's boardwalk, according to its owner, a private non-profit organization.
The Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association said its appeal to receive aid from the Federal Emergency Management Agency was rejected Friday.
"We are deeply disappointed in FEMA's rejection of our appeal," said Dale C. Whilden, president of the association, in a statement.
FEMA's decision is based on regulations that bar non-profits from receiving federal dollars to rebuild recreational facilities, according to the association.
C'mon guys, look on the bright side. Now's your chance to be free of judicial interference. Rebuild that boardwalk with your own money. I'll kick in a few bucks, I'm sure a lot of other folks will too. Re-consecrate it as the church it was intended to be.
Then, the next time the homosexuals come looking to raise a ruckus you can
tell 'em to go pound sand up their ass.
The head of the IRS met with the manager of Barack Obama's presidential campaign. Repeatedly. In the White House. But, nothing nefarious occured. Really. Trust them.
And yet, the IRS suddenly decided to target conservatives and Tea Party groups for extra special scrutiny. Purely coincidentally, of course.
C'mon people. How much more evidence do you need?
Barack Obama is a tyrant. And he has hijacked the federal bureaucracy to
enforce his will.
Not that they needed a whole lot of persuasion, but still, it's beyond
Yes, this time the race for Republican State Committee is contested.
And the country-club establishment Republicans are scared.
Because never in my 55 years on God's green earth has anyone ever called to say "support these two random bozos" for state committee. Let alone a State Senator (Kevin O'Toole). But my phone rang twice today.
Can you guess why they're scared? And why they're calling?
The state committee vets candidates and sets party priorities. It's populated by insider hacks loyal to the go-along-to-get-along crowd. For example, they're the guys who brought us Joe Kyrillos for U.S. Senate. Which worked out real well, didn't it?
But this year Carol Gallentine and Mikhail Zlotnikov are challenging the status quo. They're running against the two establishment bozos.
Carol's the first person I met when I got involved with Tea Party Patriots. I've never met Mikhail, but Carol says he's good people.
Why does this matter?
Well, he who controls the official slate of candidates controls the party.
Case in point. John Coyle is retiring from his Caldwell township council slot. A lot of people in town were encouraging a young fellow from my neighborhood to run. A good guy. Well liked, and respected. Energetic, and hard-working. He'd be a shoo-in.
Mayor Dassing concurred. She wanted this fellow to run. He agreed.
Everyone was happy.
Enter the Republican State Committee.
And before you could say "who was that masked man?" this fellow was kicked to the curb, and some dude nobody had every heard of was annointed to run.
They didn't even bother to consult with the mayor, or any of the other republicans on the council first. They picked their guy, and we're supposed to line up behind him like good little party flacks.
Well, fuck them.
Vote for Carol Gallentine and Mikhail Zlotnikov for Republican State Committee.
Because no jackwagon from out of town is gonna tell me who would be
the right choice for township council.
