Isn't it great to see our libraries cooperating with the government again? Here I thought they were adamantly opposed to governmental intrusions into their sacred realms. But I guess that's only when they're asked to look out for terrorists or shield kids from viewing hardcore pornography.

But Obamacare? It's featured in the card catalog! Unfortunatly not filed under "Socialism," where its call number would obviously be 335.666.

Only the government could run out of "medical" marijuana

Economist Milton Friedman famously said, "If you put the federal government in charge of the Sahara Desert, in 5 years there'd be a shortage of sand."

To which I'll add Chris's Corollary, "If you put the government in charge of selling dope, they'll screw it up in less than a year."

New Jersey's only "medical" marijuana dispensary is closing temporarily, because they ran out of pot.

Every 8-year old in Mexico knows how to grow dope. The cartels ship it here by the tractor-trailer-full and sell it to tens of millions of stoners all while keeping one step ahead of Dick Tracy.

But these government-regulated bozos can't supply a mere 150 people a month?

Hey, here's an idea, let's put this same government in charge of our health care! What could go wrong?

Obamacare's finalized HHS contraception mandate regulations are still anti-Catholic

Barack Obama's stone-cold heart remains unmoved. The cries of the unborn fell upon deaf ears. The prayers of the faithful went unanswered.

Kathleen "Death Panel Of One" Sebelius released her finalized HHS contraception mandate regulations today. They're essentially unchanged from the proposals which the USCCB found "unacceptable" last year.

There's a narrow carve-out for houses of worship and non-profit religious organizations. The cost of sin in those cases is transfered to the Federal Government, which will reimburse their insurance company for the objectional coverages.

But other religious employers and employees are out of luck. We're stuck paying for something we find morally repugnant. If we buy health insurance, we must buy contraception, sterilization, and abortion coverage. No exceptions.

It's like saying whenever you buy milk you have to buy corn flakes too. You may not want the corn flakes. You may not need the corn flakes. You may be allergic to corn flakes. But you'll buy those corn flakes and you'll be quiet about it. Or else no milk for you.

That's not freedom. That's not liberty. That's not the America I believe in.

It's tyranny. It's fascism. And it's way beyond the long train of abuses and usurpations to which our Founding Fathers were subjected.

To almost no one's surprise, next stop on the Redefiniton of Marriage Express is Polygamy!

Well that didn't take long. Polygamy activists are ecstatic over our Supreme Court's legalization of same-sex "marriage." And they're ready to make their case because, face it, if you're going to redefine marriage anyway, what's so damn special about the number two?

Wanna guess who'll be leading the charge? Not the Mormons; they swore off the sister wives thing when Utah became a state. Nope, it'll be those fun-loving guys at the Council on American Islamic Relations who'll push polygamy into the mainstream.

Because Sharia Rocks!

Why confine yourself to beating the shit out of one wife when Allah says you can have four of 'em, all ready at a moment's notice to be subjugated under your firm hand? And while you're at it, let's eliminate all those pesky age-of-consent laws too! Mohammed banged a six-year old; it's unfair that you can't, right?

Redefining marriage is just so darn liberating. Really. In fact maybe it's time I stopped being a h8er and simply embraced love in all its myriad forms. Pillow-love, for instance. Oh Justice Kennedy, won't you show me the way?

Meet the Obamacare Hub, keeper of your personal info, ready to be used against you politically

The implementors of Obamacare are building the biggest, most comprehensive, and intrusive database ever conceived. The Federal Data Services Hub sounds innocuous, its ostensible purpose is to help the new insurance exchanges determine eligibility for benefits, exemptions from the federal mandate, and how much to grant in federal insurance subsidies.

But the devil, as they say, is in the details. And when Congress asked HHS about those details, things got downright scary.

The Peace Corps huh? Don't they mean ObamaCorps, aka The Hitler Youth? Dear Leader's domestic force for progressivism is quietly getting bigger and bigger every year, insinuating itself into every nook and cranny of local government under the guise of "community service."

But don't worry, The Obama Administration promises "the hub will not store consumer information, but will securely transmit data between state and federal systems to verify consumer application information."

BZZZZZZT! Wrong-o buckeroo. Their regulatory filing tells quite a different tale.

Instapundit puts it succinctly:

It absolutely, positively will be abused politically.

They'll have everything they need, all in one place, to punish their political enemies. Don't think it won't happen. The temptation will be too great. The data will leak out. Those "agency contractors and consultants" encompass a vast conglomeration of liberal advocacy groups under the banner of Obamacare Navigators.

It's ACORN-redux, except the database they'll be accessing knows more about you than you do. And the Obama Administration's record on privacy isn't exactly what anyone here would call "stellar." Not to mention their inability to distinguish between governing and campaigning.

Of course it'll probably be more subtle than that. At least at first.

HHS Mandater-in-Chief Kathleen Sebelius is "partnering" with the NFL to push people into signing up for Obamacare.

I can't wait for Carrie Underwood's new SNF intro — "Are you ready for some Obamacare?" It's a health insurance party. They're gonna get it kick-started.

If the GOP is smart, they'll buy a Super Bowl ad, and model it on Apple's seminal 1984 commercial introducing the Macintosh.

"On January 24th Kathleen Sebelius will introduce … Obamacare … and you'll see why 2014 will be exactly like 1984."

Then end it with a picture of Dear Leader saying "I am Obama of Borg. Resistance is futile, you will be assimilated."

You say "transgender 6 year old," I say "child abuse"

If a 6 year old wants to play with matches, I'd hope his parents would say "no."

But if he wants to pretend he's a girl, and use the girls' bathroom at school, not only did his parents say "yes," but they sued the school on his behalf. And won.

Or maybe, it's the parents who want him to be a girl. Sort of a transgender Munchausen by proxy syndrome. Which of course is "child abuse" by another name. Because it seems like the mother is something of an attention whore.

Good thing she didn't name her son "Adolph Hitler," then the authorities would step in!

But since young Coy is a cause celebre among the "gay rights" and other assorted fringe freakazoids of the universe, not to mention how all things LGBTQ are now the epitome of cool among the cognoscenti, it's only a matter of time before he's the star of a prime-time reality TV show.

Why not cut off power to the federal government first? Heat, a/c, and electric. That would show real leadership. Pres. Lincoln managed fine without electricity, central heating, or a/c, and he rode around town on a low-emission horse powered by biofuel. First, the gummint should cut the power to the NSA and the IRS. Then, the White House. Then Congress. Our moral and intellectual superiors should show us the way.

Immigration Reform, now with total amnesty, and forgiveness of DUI convictions too

The Senate immigration reform bill keeps getting better and better. If by "better" you mean "rewards felons."

Earlier this week we learned that illegal aliens with DUI convictions would still be eligible for the path to citizenship.

So MADD is essentially saying it's OK that habitual drunk drivers like Manuel Gutierrez Vazquez can be rewarded with driver's licenses. Even though he killed a 28 year old father and seriously injured his two young children while driving drunk on a New Jersey highway. Plus, Vazquez did not have a valid driver's license and had been arrested a few weeks earlier for driving drunk in another state, according to a local news report.

Yeah, that's exactly the kind of upstanding immigrant we want to invite into our country!

But OK, suppose by some minor miracle, Manuel Gutierrez Vazquez is denied RPI status. He's still golden, because Big Sis can waive his deportation.

William Jacboson has been doing some homework on the Senate's immigration bill. This is interesting, to say the least, "Loophole in Gang of 8 bill gives Napolitano wide discretion to allow almost anyone to stay in U.S."

And there you have it, a loophole big enough to drive a freight train through. Amnesty for everybody. Janet Incompetano can waive deportation for anyone, at any time, with no accountability.

Obama's new power plant emissions rules will make electricity even more expensive

Are you tired of paying too little for electricity? Me too! But have no fear, Barack Obama has a plan to raise your rates, again, and combat the non-existent scourge of Globull Warming too.

Hours after promising in Berlin that action was coming on climate change, Barack Obama is preparing to make what could be the biggest environmental move of his presidency. White House officials say the President is planning to implement new regulations that would significantly reduce carbon emissions on existing power plants. The plan — which was hinted at in The Los Angeles Times earlier this week — involves instituting new rules through the Environmental Protection Agency, which doesn't require the approval of Congress.

"Biggest move of his presidency" means regulations even more onerous than the last round of diktats which only raised electric rates by 800 percent.

We can only speculate as to what the impact will be, a thousand percent? Two thousand percent? But I guarantee his proscriptions won't be cheap.

Earlier on Wednesday, Obama made climate change a key section of his address at the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, calling it "the global threat of our time." Adding that "Peace with justice means refusing to condemn our children to a harsher, less hospitable planet."

Yeah, there's nothing harsh or inhospitable about freezing in the dark, right?

Because if our children can't afford electricity that's exactly the future he's condemning them to live in.

SCOTUS: You have to ask for the right to remain silent

The Fifth Amendment says you have the right to remain silent.

Yesterday our Supreme Court decided that you must explicitly ask for that right.

In other words, you must speak in order to affirm your Constitutional right to refrain from speaking. The right to remain silent is not a natural right, it must be explicitly invoked.

I think my head's gonna explode.

It's a good thing I never went to law school. Having studied mathematics I am governed by logic, and given this silent scream and yesterday's voter ID vitiation it's obvious that logic and the law are mutually exclusive.

SCOTUS opens the door for illegal aliens registering to vote

The Constitution says you have to be a U.S. citizen in order to vote. Arizona passed a law saying you need to show proof of that citizenship when you register to vote. Alas, our Supreme Court has now said "no, you don't."

Unbelievable. "I pinky-swear I'm a citizen." "OK, you can vote!"

Of course it doesn't. But SCOTUS says that's OK, because, racism.

"Today's decision sends a strong message that states cannot block their citizens from registering to vote by superimposing burdensome paperwork requirements on top of federal law," said Nina Perales, vice president of litigation for the Mexican-American Legal Defense and Education Fund.

Ah, but who is a citizen? As of today, you can't ask. And I'm sure no illegal alien would ever try to pretend she is one. Of course not, that would be perjury. And we all know that people who flout our immigration laws are complete sticklers for telling the truth.

Immigration reform bill establishes a national biometric database of all Americans

Smile, you're on Obama-cam. Because buried deep inside the Senate immigration reform plan is a comprehensive national ID system. Wired broke the story last month.

OK, let's not get carried away. This database will never be used at polling places to check voter registration, because, and we all know this, voter ID is racist.

But all that other stuff? Yeah, it's totally gonna happen. Yesterday, CNN explained how it'll work.

Pushes all that NSA spying and wiretapping into a whole new dimension, doesn't it? They've got our phone records. They're reading our email, friending us on Facebook, and following us on Twitter. SCOTUS says they can swab our DNA. And DHS will tie it all together with our picture and social security number.

All Obama has to do is put his "photo tool" facial recognition software behind the legion of security cameras deployed hither and yon "for our protection," and Big Brother will know our every move. Probably even before we do.

Chris Christie spurns major Conservative event for a chance to hang out with the Clintons

Because nothing says Serious Republican Presidential Contender quite like skipping out on the Faith and Freedom Coalition so you can hobnob with Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Some "conservative rock star," eh? That particular moniker seems rather shop-worn these days, no matter what the Star-Ledger will try to tell you. Christie is turning leftward so fast it's a miracle he doesn't get whiplash.

All those prominent NJ Democrats lining up behind him aren't jumping on Christie's bandwagon because they've suddenly drunk the GOP kool-aid. Nope, they're on board because he's their kind of guy.

Obama Admin targets Christians and Jews while keeping hands off every mosque in America

Gotta watch out for those crazy Catholics and jocular Jews! Here's an actual PowerPoint slide from an Obama Administration presentation on "dangerous" extremist groups.

Interesting, no?

Number One on the list is "Evangelical Christianity." "Ultra-Orthodox Judaism" is number 3. And obviously slackers, Catholics landed way down in tenth place.

Note too the absence of any U.S. based Muslim terrorist front groups.

But they make sure to include the catch-all category of "Islamophobia." Otherwise know as the fear of getting one's head chopped off on YouTube.

So imagine my surprise when I read this morning that the Administration has adopted a hands-off policy with regard to surveillance of mosques in America.

Ayup, he'll listen on my phone calls. He'll read your email. He'll track your neighbor's every shopping trip. But Barack Obama won't let anyone take even a peek inside the doors of a mosque.

And if you're wondering who these arbiters of our national security are, well keep wondering. The makeup of his Sensitive Operations Review Committee is Top Secret. But it was formed at the behest of the peace-loving Muslims at the Council on American-Islamic Relations, so you can be pretty sure that it's packed with guys who have America's best interests at heart. Honest.

Sen. Kristen Gillibrand: Put a Zampolit in every military unit

Liberal nutjob Senator Kristen Gillibrand wants every military unit to establish a parallel chain of command, one answerable to politically correct bureaucrats instead of military brass.

Ah, yes. This shadow command will only investigate "allegations of sexual assault." Except the Obama Administration has profoundly twisted the definition of "sexual assault" into an unrecognizable morass of feminut nonsense. Thoughts, glances, off-hand comments, even asking someone out on a date are all now considered potentially "offensive" and subject to adjudication.

And of course anything but full-throated celebration of homosexuality is grounds for immediate court martial.

So inserting a Soviet-style political officer into every unit makes perfect sense, unless you see our military as a cohesive fighting force instead of a vehicle for imposing radical social change.

Why do powerful NJ Democrats keep lining up to kiss Chris Christie's ring?

It's not a good week to be Barbara Buono.

Because yesterday Democrat powerbroker Brian Stack endorsed Republican Chris Christie for re-election.

State Sen. Brian Stack, the mayor of Union City and a Democratic powerbroker in Hudson County, said this afternoon that the Republican governor has been one the most responsive and impressive state leaders he's ever worked with.

And today a veritable who's-who of Essex County Democrats fell over themselves to kiss Christie's ass ring.

Essex County Executive Joseph DiVincenzo, Sheriff Armando Fontoura, a dozen black pastors and five Democratic mayors backed Gov. Chris Christie today in the governor's biggest cross-aisle endorsement event to date.

You know what's funny? Republican endorsements of Christie aren't exactly pouring in. But those Democrats, they love themselves some of that RINO-licious bipartisanship!

DiVincenzo — who has been friends with Christie for 11 years and frequently sings his praises publicly — said he decided to endorse the governor rather than remain neutral in the race when he saw him embrace President Obama after Hurricane Sandy and criticize House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) for stalling federal aid.

Oh, so that's how a Republican garners endorsements from Democrats.

He acts like one of them! He embraces Dear Leader! He pisses on his own party!

And I assure you, it most certainly is not because Chris Christie is any kind of Conservative rock star.

Can Christie's "I didn't leave the Republican Party, the Republican Party left me" moment be far behind? Because with friends like these, his chances of landing the 2016 Republican nomination for president are somewhere between slim and none. And we all know that Chris Christie wants to be president.

A whole lot of folks think it's great that Obama is spying on his political enemies

Having spent most of this weekend attending various graduation parties with a gaggle of Obama voters I can unequivocally say one thing — they don't care that he's spying on Americans. Because according to them, he's spying on the right Americans.

Conservatives, Tea Partyers, Fox News: all perceived as enemies of progressivism. And thus fair game. Because, racism.

It's an interesting, and sadly sophomoric worldview. "Brother Obama," as he is known in certain circles, is a kind of demi-god to these folks. He's omnipotent. He's benevolent. He's a superhuman champion of the underclasses. Everything Barack Obama does is for our own good, because he cannot possibly be anything but perfect. And of course, "Bush was worse," while all of Obama's problems are caused by evil republicans.

One conversation stands out, with a fellow who works in IT for a government contractor. He said everyone who works for the government has a heart of gold. In fact, government is the epitome of altruism, public servants (such as himself!) are the protectors of our freedom. And if that means we citizens need to surrender our personal information to the government (think FB, twitter, email, etc) so be it. The government would never abuse that info! There are "safeguards."

And if someone in the government does do something we don't like, it isn't because they're bad, it's because "we don't understand" the true threat that they're protecting us from. The government knows what's good for us. Moreover, subjecting these data mining programs to public scrutiny undermines the government's ability to protect us, so persecuting Obama's critics keeps America safer!

I gotta tell you, hearing this stuff scares the shit out of me.

But if you wanted to know how Obama thought he could get away with all this skullduggery, well, now you know. His sycophants refuse to acknowledge reality. Their brainwashing is complete.

This is how fascism starts. This is how totalitarian states are born. "First they came for the Tea Partyers, but I didn't care because I wasn't a racist tea bagger." Go ahead, tell me it isn't exactly what's happening right now.

Because Big Brother Obama isn't using all this surveillance to keep America safe.

He's using all this surveillance to punish his political enemies.

And I've discovered that I know a whole lot of people who are OK with that. People who embrace it as necessary. And smile.

Whatever country emerges from the ruins of his administration, it won't be America. Not the America established in 1776. And certainly not the America that Ronald Reagan described as "a shining city on a hill."

Forget Freedom.

Forget Liberty.

President Obama strongly defended the government's secret surveillance of people's phone records and Internet activities, saying … that the programs are "under very strict supervision by all three branches of government and they do not involve listening to people's phone calls, do not involve reading the e-mails of U.S. citizens and U.S. residents."

Except when, you know, they do involve exactly that.

Hmm. Grudges, eh? Perhaps like how the IRS just happened to have a "grudge" against Conservatives and Tea Party groups? Those kind of grudges?

Nah, Barack Obama would never do something like that! He's the Unicorn Healer.

He's not listening to your phone calls. He's not reading your email. He's not watching what you type into Google.

He's got people for that. At the NSA. And they're tracking every single thing you do.

Then, if you're on his enemies list, they'll turn all that data over to OFA. In case someone needs to pay you a visit.

It'll just be for a friendly chat.

All that surveillance and Obama can't find terrorists or illegal aliens?

Did I say "can't?"

I meant won't.

Because to Barack Obama, terrorists and illegal aliens are not a priority. Tea Partyers, Conservatives, and Patriots. They're the priority.

He vowed to "fundamentally transform" America.

And boy oh boy, he sure has.

The amount of surveillance he's unleashed on American citizens would make J. Edgar Hoover blush. Thanks Verizon, yes the NSA can hear you now. And don't for one minute believe that AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, and Skype aren't also cooperating. As are just about every major internet company and search engine.

According to the Post, the National Security Agency and FBI are "tapping directly into the central servers of nine leading US Internet companies, extracting audio, video, photographs, e-mails, documents and connection logs that enable analysts to track a person's movements and contacts over time." The program is code-named PRISM, and was leaked to the newspaper by a "career intelligence offer" who said, "They quite literally can watch your ideas form as you type."

Also feeding into this Orwellian database? Credit card transactions. And supermarket loyalty card info. Undoubtedly along with a whole bunch of other stuff we haven't heard about yet.

So riddle me this Batman.

With all that data, and given that the Russians told him about the Tsarnaev brothers, why didn't someone stop the Boston Marathon bombing?

Because Barack Obama refuses to consider Islam to be the source of terrorism, that's why.

A correspondent to Breitbart News writes in frustration: "The FBI and NSA were reading [Nidal] Hassan's emails to [Anwar] Al Awlaki and monitoring his phone calls and didn't think he was a threat at Ft. Hood. The FBI was also monitoring the phone calls of the Times Square bomber and didn't do anything. So much for the value of phone call and email monitoring. Check the old news clips on these stories. It's all there."

We know who Obama's real enemies are.

And then comes a reminder of which information the government has been most interested in: information about Tea Party and conservative groups, information about individual activists in the conservative movement, information about the prayers of pro-life groups — information, in other words, about its political opponents, who have been treated since the beginning of the Obama administration like the real national enemy.

Welcome to Chicago politics coupled with Soviet tactics.

This is not the America our Founding Fathers envisioned.

But it's exactly what Obama promised us we'd get.

Your tax dollars at work: Jersey City giving kids more "free" breakfasts than ever!

In the topsy-turvy world of welfare, the government is failing if they aren't giving away enough free stuff. So the solution, of course, is to recruit more dependents. Because the government cheese isn't going to eat itself.

Wow. It's not just a culture of dependency. It's a culture of catering to dependency. These little mendicants can't drag their sorry butts into the cafeteria before school starts. So the "solution" is to rev up a whole new Meals on Wheels program! Do they have someone who chews the food for them too?

And I love the repeated emphasis on how it's "free." Sorry to burst the liberal bubble, but There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Breakfast. I'm paying for it, and if you've got a job, you're paying for it too. Remember, every dollar the government spends was confiscated from someone. That's the dirty secret of taxation.

And so another generation is indoctrinated into the cult of big government.

And now they've issued an import ban against the iPhone 4 and iPad 2.

So Obama might overrule his own trade commission.

Say, if Apple decides to cough up some extra taxes? Or repatriate their offshore assets?

Oh, by the way, is Eric Holder still investigating himself? Or was that file closed with nary a whimper? You can't ask the media, and I seem to have lost track.

Gov. Christie calls for a special election to replace Frank Lautenberg

Our governor could have appointed someone to fill Lautenberg's seat. A Republican perhaps! But Steve Sweeney and the Democrats threatened to pitch a fit if he did, so the GOP will lose another opportunity to counter the Progressive Menace.

Proving once again that the Seventeenth Amendment is truly the most odious perversion of the Founders' intent ever to be foisted on our Republic.

"The people of this state" already have elected representatives. That's what our 12 Congressmen are for. And for that matter, so is Bob Menendez, except the only person he represents is Soloman Melgen. As for Frank Lautenberg's ostensible "representation" of New Jersey, let's just say his heart resided in California, he occasionally slept in Manhattan, and he spent most of his time in Washington, DC.

The State of New Jersey needs a representative in the U.S. Senate. Someone who is above the vicissitudes of electoral gamesmanship. Steve Lonegan would be an inspired choice.

Instead we get to go through the charade of a special election just so the Democrats can arrange Cory Booker's coronation while slinging mud at another RINO.

SCOTUS: All your DNA are belong to us

The cops can now take your DNA, anytime or anywhere they want. And there isn't Thing One you can do about that. Because the Supreme Court just pissed all over the Fourth Amendment.

Justice Scalia disagreed.

"Make no mistake about it: because of today's decision, your DNA can be taken and entered into a national database if you are ever arrested, rightly or wrongly, and for whatever reason," conservative Justice Antonin Scalia said in a sharp dissent which he read aloud in the courtroom.

Just A Conservative Girl lays out the facts in the underlying case, and then extrapolates the effect of this ruling.

Doesn't those on the court understand how this can be abused? Now, it seems pretty obvious that King is indeed a rapist. I have zero sympathy for him, zero. But he isn't really the point. These cases are always about something bigger than person who brought the case. When he was arrested, there doesn't seem to be that there was evidence he was guilty of committing this rape. So why would they have right to take his DNA? The entire point of our justice system is the presumption of innocence. By automatically taking DNA swabs of every person who is arrested we have forgone that presumption and walking towards something that will no longer resemble our justice system.

Top Democrat donors, including George Soros, are courting Chris Christie

You read that right. George Soros hearts Chris Christie.

Five executives at Soros Fund Management have chipped in a combined $19,000 to the governor's re-election campaign, state records show. The donor roll includes Soros' protégé and chief investment officer, Scott Bessent, who tends to fund liberal Democrats.

In fact, liberal Democrats across the country are actively lining up behind Christie.

Or maybe, and I'm just making an observation here based on living day in and day out with him as my governor, maybe it's because Chris Christie is closer ideologically to them. Much closer than anyone in the national GOP is willing to admit.

Because on a whole host of issues, from gun control to fracking, or illegal immigration to creeping Sharia, Chris Christie's positions are indistinguishable from anything you'll read at the leftest of lefty blogs. And if you think, well at least he'll appoint conservative judges, think again. His three highest profile appointments to the bench were a terrorist-sympathizing Muslim lawyer, a gay "marriage" advocate, and a guy whose immigration sob story makes Sonya Sotomayor seem like a Daughter of the American Revolution in comparison.

Fortunately the latter two were swallowed up in the byzantine politics of NJ State Senate power plays. But Judge Sohail Mohammed sits on the NJ Superior Court bench, dispensing Sharia on a daily basis.

So ask yourself, why are so many liberals eager to line up behind Chris Christie, rather than say, Hillary Clinton? I guarantee it's not because of his good looks and boyish charm.

FEMA won't rebuild the Ocean Grove boardwalk because its owner is a church

The Methodists in Ocean Grove, NJ can't catch a break.

The boardwark that wasn't a church when two lesbians wanted to get "married" on it now is a church so that FEMA doesn't have to pay to rebuild it.

If that makes no sense to you, join the club.

Back in 2009 two troublemaker lesbians wanted to use the boardwalk for a same-sex "wedding" ceremony. The Methodist Church, which owns just about everything in Ocean Grove, said "no." The rabble-rousers sued, the Obama Administration and pretty much every gay rights organization this side of Uranus piled on. And sadly the Methodists lost, because the judge said their boardwalk was a "public accomodation."

Four years later Hurricane Sandy smashed that boardwalk, and every other boardwalk up and down the Jersey shore, to smithereens.

The good news is FEMA is rebuilding all those other boardwalks.

The bad news is, FEMA has decided the Ocean Grove boardwalk is a church after all. So no rebuilding money!

C'mon guys, look on the bright side. Now's your chance to be free of judicial interference. Rebuild that boardwalk with your own money. I'll kick in a few bucks, I'm sure a lot of other folks will too. Re-consecrate it as the church it was intended to be.

Then, the next time the homosexuals come looking to raise a ruckus you can tell 'em to go pound sand up their ass.

The head of the IRS met with the manager of Barack Obama's presidential campaign. Repeatedly. In the White House. But, nothing nefarious occured. Really. Trust them.

And yet, the IRS suddenly decided to target conservatives and Tea Party groups for extra special scrutiny. Purely coincidentally, of course.

C'mon people. How much more evidence do you need?

Barack Obama is a tyrant. And he has hijacked the federal bureaucracy to enforce his will. Not that they needed a whole lot of persuasion, but still, it's beyond the pale.

That's 2 calls today shilling for the establishment candidates running for GOP state committee

Yes, this time the race for Republican State Committee is contested.

And the country-club establishment Republicans are scared.

Because never in my 55 years on God's green earth has anyone ever called to say "support these two random bozos" for state committee. Let alone a State Senator (Kevin O'Toole). But my phone rang twice today.

Can you guess why they're scared? And why they're calling?

Two words.

Tea. Party.

The state committee vets candidates and sets party priorities. It's populated by insider hacks loyal to the go-along-to-get-along crowd. For example, they're the guys who brought us Joe Kyrillos for U.S. Senate. Which worked out real well, didn't it?

But this year Carol Gallentine and Mikhail Zlotnikov are challenging the status quo. They're running against the two establishment bozos.

Carol's the first person I met when I got involved with Tea Party Patriots. I've never met Mikhail, but Carol says he's good people.

Why does this matter?

Well, he who controls the official slate of candidates controls the party.

Case in point. John Coyle is retiring from his Caldwell township council slot. A lot of people in town were encouraging a young fellow from my neighborhood to run. A good guy. Well liked, and respected. Energetic, and hard-working. He'd be a shoo-in.

Mayor Dassing concurred. She wanted this fellow to run. He agreed.

Everyone was happy.

Enter the Republican State Committee.

And before you could say "who was that masked man?" this fellow was kicked to the curb, and some dude nobody had every heard of was annointed to run.

They didn't even bother to consult with the mayor, or any of the other republicans on the council first. They picked their guy, and we're supposed to line up behind him like good little party flacks.

Well, fuck them.

Vote for Carol Gallentine and Mikhail Zlotnikov for Republican State Committee. Because no jackwagon from out of town is gonna tell me who would be the right choice for township council.
